Job Summary
The Technical Sales Support Associate is a trusted advisor that provides support and guidance to Sales Engineers and Partners in all pre-sales and partner activities including: Project Management, Deal Coordination, Quote Support, Capacity Requests, Sales delegated opportunity management, along Sales systems, process, new platforms and product support.
Responsibilities
Gather info from Sales Engineers and Customers regarding scope and solution
Work with Vendor quote team, or EIS (Equinix Infrastructure Services) Product team for Pricing
Support pre-sales operational activities for complex customer accounts or multi-country deals
Assist with customer questions via email or phone
Support Customers and Sales Engineers with creating, tracking status, and escalations to secure approvals for quotes
Provide support for system/tool functionality, quotes, and knowledge/training
Validate quoting info provided by Customers, Sales Engineers for non-standard quotes. Follow up directly with Sales Engineers on any clarifications or additional info required to accurately generate a quote
Be in sync with the business, proactively flag deal constraints – Capacity, Product, Pricing
Collaborate with Sales Engineers and various internal teams (Capacity, Provisioning, Legal, Commercial Solutions) to determine the feasibility of requests and their approvals
Handles cases according to regional case management guidelines and facilitate the quote approval process
Assists with new customer set up
Handles customer concerns between Sales Support and other internal groups
Works on small projects in addition to everyday role
Follows up with customer on required documents and missing information
Ensures customer PO compliance
Assists with customer questions via email or phone
Engages cross-functional teams to coordinate requirements against deadlines
Facilitates SFDC opportunity management by cleaning up opportunities based on guidelines
Trains Sales reps on new tools, processes, and policies
Delivers refresher trainings to address knowledge gaps
Communicates process improvements and enhancements to Sales Team
Qualifications
1+ years customer/sales support experience preferred
French language skills desirable
Bachelor's degree preferred
