Job Summary: 

Are you ready to take your career to the next level in a dynamic and innovative environment? As the Assistant Manager for the Critical Facilities Team at Equinix, reporting into the Data Centre Manager for our FR11x Data centre, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our data center operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead a talented team, manage exciting projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain our high standards of excellence. Responsibilities:

• Management:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of skilled professionals and support staff.

  • Ensure timely execution of responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Handle personnel matters including salaries, hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and development.

• Project / Infrastructure Site Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, budget, and implement resources for projects and maintenance within the data center.
  • Develop and manage routine operational plans to meet monthly targets.
  • Provide input and guidance towards budget planning and management.
  • Oversee overall site capacity and ensure optimal utilization.

• Vendor Management:

  • Oversee contractor work and operations, ensuring compliance with Equinix standards.

• Testing:

  • Assist with startup tests, documenting and reporting any issues encountered.

• Incident Management:

  • Communicate and coordinate activities with on-site staff during incidents to ensure swift resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

• Experience in leading/supervising facilities management in a data center environment.
• Extensive technical knowledge of critical infrastructure and overall data centre operations.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
• Excellent project management skills with experience in budgeting and resource allocation.
• Familiarity with vendor management and contractor oversight.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
