Job Summary

As a Sales Executive focused on new logo acquisition, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our customer base across the FLAP markets. You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, leveraging internal resources, and executing strategic account plans to achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

Building Customer Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients to understand their business needs and challenges

  • Engage with key stakeholders to position Equinix as a trusted partner in their digital transformation journey

Leveraging Internal Partners & Channel

  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as business development, sales engineers, solution architects & commercial solutions teams, to align strategies and drive customer engagement

  • Work with channel partners to enhance reach and in acquiring new logos

Account Planning

  • Create and execute comprehensive account plans for targeted prospects, key decision-makers and influencers

  • Monitor account progress and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure alignment with business objectives

Solution Selling

  • Utilize a consultative selling approach to identify customer needs and present tailored solutions that address their specific challenges

  • Demonstrate the value of Equinix’s offerings through effective presentations and product demonstrations

Pipeline Management

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking all opportunities and stages of the sales process

  • Utilize CRM tools to document interactions, forecast sales, and report on progress against targets

Territory Planning

  • Develop and implement a territory plan to maximize coverage and identify high-potential prospects within the FLAP markets

  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform territory strategy

Prospecting

  • Proactively identify and engage potential customers through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and social media

  • Qualify leads and convert them into opportunities through effective outreach and relationship-building

Negotiation

  • Lead negotiations with prospective clients to secure favorable terms and close deals

  • Ensure alignment with Equinix’s pricing and contractual guidelines while addressing customer concerns and objections

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

  • Proven track record in sales, Preferably in new logo acquisition &/or within the technology or telecommunications sectors is an advantage

  • Preferably, understanding of the FLAP markets and the digital infrastructure landscape

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Preferably, speak another language relevant to the FLAP territories
