Job Summary
The Platform Observability and Tools Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions and automation tools for our platform. This role will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of our platform by monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing its performance.
Responsibilities
Design and implement observability solutions to monitor the health, performance, and availability of the platform
Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline and improve the efficiency of platform operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement monitoring and alerting strategies
Analyze system performance data and identify areas for improvement
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform observability and automation tools
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in observability and automation
Document processes, procedures, and best practices related to observability and automation
Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for critical incidents
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience in designing and implementing observability solutions for large-scale platforms
8+ years of experience in programming skills in languages such as Python, Java
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Experience in leveraging AI/ML models to enhance efficiency in data platforms and improve monitoring capabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code principles and tools
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
Certification in relevant technologies
