What We're Looking For
General familiarity with Change, Incident and Escalation Management processes
General knowledge of server, switch, and router hardware
General knowledge of power and cooling system design as well as knowledge of physical datacentre infrastructure and architecture
Understanding of IT systems and IP network topology
Previous datacentre operations or NOC experience is a plus
Experience with datacentre buildout, assembling and installing equipment
Ability to work in an environment that operates a shift pattern, with an ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills
Must be able to help team prioritise tasks and react quickly to issues
About The Role
Join us at our fast-growing Nordic Operations team, based in Stockholm metro as a Senior Datacenter technician!
Your responsibilities include monitoring infrastructure alarms related to power, cooling, temperature, and humidity to ensure stable and safe operations;
Taking the lead in the escalation of high-severity operational incidents, communicating with customers, and working closely with site technicians to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with power and cooling systems;
Supporting customers in resolving technical infrastructure queries, participating in commissioning and testing of new infrastructure, and reporting malfunctions or irregularities to Site Management while dispatching resources for resolution.
You will also prioritize and manage internal and external trouble tickets and customer requests (smart-hands) in line with SLA requirements.
The Senior Technician plays a vital role to mentoring new-hires during onboarding-process and to implement high work-ethics in the team.
Furthermore, you will be expected to deliver clear shift handover and operational status reports, ensure tasks are prioritized and divided within the junior technicians as well as manage both planned and emergency maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence standards.
Finally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures, that enhance our overall operations.
Maintain high standards of Data Center operations to ensure the availability and reliability of service levels
Conduct hardware and network diagnostics and repairs including maintenance of test equipment
Perform customer installations and resolve trouble tickets
Perform training, technical support and mentorship of internal teams and new hires
Development of documentation and processes
Occasional travel to other Data Centers as needed
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of Data enter experience
Experience with Data Center buildout, assembling and installing equipment
Computer hardware experience (troubleshooting, assembling)
Ability to work in an environment that operates a shift pattern, with an ability to occasionally participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support if needed
Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills
Must be able to prioritise tasks and react quickly to issues
Experience in IT, Telecommunications, or Facility Management
Potential to work in a 24/7 shift rotation upon requirement
Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills under pressure
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Professional proficiency in English (Swedish is an advantage)
