Job Summary
Receives objective based assignments, and determines resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect section or multiple disciplines. Decisions impact others in the immediate team and influences methods and techniques. Executes financials, business planning, organizational priorities and workforce.
Responsibilities
Management
Manages supervisors and professional individual contributors. Guides through well defined management precedents
Manages teams to work safely, effectively and with high regard to human error avoidance
Manages personnel details including salaries, positioning, hire/fire, reviews, coaching and development
Aids in testing, project management, and resolving incidents
Project / Infrastructure Site Management
Plans, coordinates, reviews budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data centers
Provides input and guidance towards budget
Overall site capacity management
Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution
Vendor Management
Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards, (KPI's) Key Performance Indicators and (SLA's) Service Level Agreements
Testing
Ensures correct processes are followed and all documentation is complete
Takeover of new builds and building infrastructure
Writes all (MOP) Maintenance Operation Protocol scripts
Incident Management
Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident
Assists with root cause analysis and incident resolution
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience in data center operations, facilities management, or critical infrastructure environments
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - CU3 Culpeper : 130,000 - 194,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
