The Director, HR Business Partner will be a strategic partner to our go-to-market function (Customer Revenue organization) and leaders. In partnership with other HRBP’s, you will be supporting SVP-level leaders in a focused go-to-market team made up of 3,000 employees globally that defines and drives Equinix’s performance engine and the customer experience. As a member of the People Team, the Director, HRBP is the critical coordination and communication point to the business and leadership team, serving as trusted advisor on effective talent strategies, talent management, inclusion, and retention strategies. They leverage proximity to the business to drive transformation, create clarity, influence, and drive adoption of People Team programs and initiatives, as well as funnel back business feedback to drive continuous improvement across COEs.
This position requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, while being a standout colleague with validated abilities to multi-task. Exceptional communication and people skills are a requirement. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and be a resourceful, savvy professional that is committed to finding solutions and making an impact.
Responsibilities
Leads the Execution of the People Team Strategy: Champions The People Team operating model with the business. Supports complex, large-scale workforce transformations through strategic moves and organizational design. Implements and activates forward thinking organizational design structures and operating models aligned to Equinix's strategic vision, leveraging the cross-functional partners as needed for complex design initiatives and leading smaller design efforts through strategic partnership with senior leaders. Partners with business leaders to maximize organizational effectiveness and ensures alignment with E-Team decisions
Builds Future Ready Teams: Lead the creation and execution of talent strategies, facilitating talent motions, projects, and initiatives that build critical capabilities and talent to deliver on the Equinix strategy. This includes yearly talent assessment, rewards allocation, talent reviews and succession planning, partnering in senior leader talent acquisition, etc.
Enables Effective Change Adoption: Serves as a critical enabler of organizational transformation and strategy through robust change and communication efforts, cross-functional partnership, and supporting change adoption through employee engagement. Reinforces enterprise communications and activation activities within the business, including communication cascades, all-staff messaging, etc.
Leverages Data Insights to Drive Improvement and Innovation: Senses and scans internal and external factors to maintain pulse on current state, review trends, and predict future needs. Brings the right people and data together to shape insights and complete root cause diagnostics regarding people organizational dynamics for the business and translates this insight into sustainable solutions. Facilitates leader-led action planning on areas of focus such as employee engagement surveys, org health and DIB metrics, etc.
Role Models the Culture: Role model and reinforce values and attributes of the desired culture, drive culture transformation through leadership and coaching
Qualifications
15+ years of Human Resources experience with at least 5 years as Global Business Partner in an evolving global organization, preferably technology
Proven experience supporting leaders at the Executive level, preferably in GTM functions
Experience leading a large-scale and complex transformations within large global organizations
Experience leading organizational design, change management, and organizational effectiveness preferred
Experience with change management, executing of global HR programs
Excellent ability to source, synthesize and interpret data and context to tell a story and influence decision makers
Broad depth of experience across all HR concentrations
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with a bias towards action and solutions in line with business goals
This posting is for a backfill position, meaning it is to fill an existing vacancy within our organization.
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 166,000 - 248,000 CAD / Annual
United States - Denver Office DEO : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual
United States - Ashburn Office AEO : 195,000 - 293,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
