Job Summary
Reporting to Equinix's Senior Director, Go-To-Market Strategy, the Senior Manager, Go-To-Market Strategy is a primary enabler of GTM leadership decisions and trade-offs on business planning/analysis, strategic initiatives, new business development, and executive prioritization. This executive will have a broad set of stakeholders, understanding each GTM motion and the customer experience and help identify insights from quantitative and qualitative analysis on how we scale our Sales Plays. This person will have deep GTM expertise, data analysis capability, and experience in developing presentations with frameworks.
Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Development
Create storyboards and present to Company leaders on key initiatives
Analyze and provide insights into market extension opportunities (e.g., new services, solutions and business models)
Lead the annual strategic planning process in conjunction with key stakeholders
Partner with GTM and BU/Functional Teams & cross functional peers to translate Equinix Enterprise Strategy into a GTM roadmap, set of initiatives/business cases to deliver value for Equinix's customers
Engage with company leaders to obtain buy-in for cross-functional projects, including planned outcomes, strategic narratives and linkages to enterprise strategy
Initiative Management
Drive internal consulting projects focused on new markets/products, growth initiatives, transformation, and profitability / efficiency / effectiveness improvements
Monitor strategy execution to align outcomes with strategic intent and benefit realization
Customer Analysis and Strategic Positioning
Drive recommendations on how to engage with strategic customers based on the analysis of customer footprints and deployments with Equinix
Drive measurable business outcomes
Make critical decision-making proposals and outline complex strategic initiatives across the business
Independent challenger, providing thought partnership to key stakeholders in relevant areas of expertise
Responsible for strategies to win new customers and grow existing customer base
Help set business priorities based on emerging industry and market trends
Make recommendations to the executive team on business opportunities and proactively provide answers/insights to key business strategies
Spearhead opportunities for increased customer engagement
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to derive insights via quantitative and qualitative analysis and formulate and test hypotheses by diving deep into the data
Substantial GTM experience, preferably requiring leadership engagement and influence, owning a sales number at a high enough level to make real-world trade-offs
Expertise in developing frameworks and presentations for GTM leadership and strategy formulation
Think strategically and contribute to the creation of a strategic plan for a $10B business; track record of communicating the narrative and achieving buy-in from senior leaders
Substantial experience in a technology (software/ SaaS) environment, ideally including cloud environments or Corporate Strategy experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in relevant field preferred
Solid knowledge and connection within our industry or a related one, able to understand macro trends
Strong experience managing and influencing stakeholders across different functional groups
Ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision and influence
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 179,000 - 269,000 USD / Annual
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
