Who are we?
Equinix is the world’s digital infrastructure company®, shortening the path to connectivity to enable the innovations that enrich our work, life and planet.
Job Summary
This role sits at the frontier of that work. You will not be layering AI onto existing processes — you will be designing transformation initiatives where AI is the operating assumption from day one. Whether that means embedding generative AI into planning workflows, applying machine learning to surface performance signals that were previously invisible, or using intelligent automation to eliminate the manual burden that slows decision-making, you will be shaping how Equinix's business functions think about and harness AI as a competitive capability.
For someone who wants to do consequential work in enterprise AI transformation — and have it seen at the most senior levels of the organization — this is that role.
Responsibilities
Assess & Diagnose Cross-LOB Operational Performance
Conduct structured current-state assessments of how key DIO functions — spanning location strategy, human capital planning, and operational planning — are performing across business units
Identify where process gaps, data silos, and workflow inefficiencies are limiting LOB visibility, slowing decision cycles, or creating unplanned cost exposure
Map interdependencies across functions and surface the highest-leverage transformation o
portunities for DIO leadership
Define the North Star: AI-First Transformation Strategy
Design forward-looking transformation roadmaps for DIO priority initiatives, with AI-infused workflows as the default — not an add-on
Translate ambiguous strategic mandates into structured programs: clear objectives, sequenced milestones, defined owners, and measurable outcomes
Define the adoption and readiness model for AI solutions — including piloting, change management, and enterprise rollout sequencing — drawing on proven approaches from large-scale platform deployments
Establish the performance metrics and reporting infrastructure that allow DIO and LOB stakeholders to monitor transformation progress and course-correct in real time
Build Governance, Stage Gates & Operational Visibility
Design the stage gate frameworks and approval workflows that give each Line of Business structured accountability for performance — with downstream impact on SG&A efficiency and FP&A planning quality
Build observability mechanisms — dashboards, KPI governance cadences, and escalation protocols — that proactively surface risk before it becomes operational drag
Partner with Finance and analytics teams to validate data integrity, quantify transformation ROI, and tie initiative outcomes to bottom-line improvement
Establish the operating rhythms — steering reviews, executive briefings, progress tracking — that keep transformation programs on track and leadership informed
Drive Cross-Functional Execution & Stakeholder Alignment
Serve as the connective tissue across DIO, Finance, HR, Real Estate, and Technology stakeholders — aligning diverse functions around shared transformation goals without relying on positional authority
Prepare and lead executive-ready materials for Steering Committees and senior leadership, synthesizing complex program data into clear, decision-driving narratives
Originate structured work packages from high-level strategic intent, sequence interdependencies, and activate cross-functional owners to accelerate delivery
Pilot initiatives at manageable scale, extract learnings rigorously, and build the case for enterprise-wide adoption
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has built things in complex organizations — not just advised on them. The ideal candidate brings:
7–10 years of experience in strategy, enterprise transformation, operations, or management consulting — with direct exposure to large, matrixed organizations
A track record of designing and operationalizing KPI frameworks, performance management systems, and governance structures that drive measurable outcomes
Experience building business cases and investment prioritization models that link transformation initiatives to financial and operational benefit
Demonstrated success translating ambiguous, executive-level priorities into structured programs with clear milestones, owners, and delivery accountability
Hands-on experience with AI or GenAI platforms in an enterprise context — including defining adoption metrics, monitoring usage, and helping organizations extract value from AI investments
Experience preparing and presenting to senior executive audiences and steering committees, with the ability to synthesize complex data into sharp, decision-ready insights
A history of building credibility and driving alignment across functions — Finance, HR, Operations, Technology — without direct management authority
MBA or advanced degree preferred; PMP or equivalent program management certification a plus
