Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, GMPO Data Products & Business Operations within the Enterprise Data & Analytics team (EDNA), the Manager Strategy & Initiative will play a critical role in shaping and driving Equinix’s enterprise data and AI strategy, design and manage a portfolio of initiatives that maximize business value and reduce technical debt
This role will work with a team of strategic thinkers and operators, collaborating cross-functionally to identify, prioritize, and sequence initiatives that drive measurable business value and enable Equinix’s digital future

Responsibilities
Be the Navigator to Chart Enterprise Data Strategy and Roadmap
Translate EDNA’s overarching goals into clear decisions, actionable milestones, and a cohesive product roadmap
Identify and prioritize strategic data and AI initiatives (e.g., tooling, platform decisions) to optimize ROI while ensuring scalability and technical soundness
Establish a business case center of excellence for data and AI initiatives to bring financial rigor and strategic focus to initiative development (e.g., estimate a product recommendation engine’s impact on revenue uplift)
Explore longer-term opportunities for data monetization through products, partnerships, and services
Establish a Value-Oriented Intake & Prioritization Engine to Deliver High-Impact Initiatives
Build financial rigor and value-centric frameworks to improve business casing across EDNA portfolios
Create transparency and standardization across 15+ data domains to drive clarity on initiative selection and prioritization. Lead the transition from Jira-based intake to strategic enterprise-level prioritization
Partner with the Chief Digital & Innovation Officer organization to co-design the unified intake and prioritization platform and process
Monitor initiative progress, provide strategic delivery guidance, and drive tough decision-making when necessary to ensure value realization
Design and Deliver Critical Data and AI Initiatives
Lead strategic analysis to proactively identify high-potential domains and opportunity areas that align with Equinix’s enterprise priorities, guiding teams toward initiatives that deliver outsized business value
Instill a value-oriented mindset by leading initiative sizing and effort estimation, equipping teams with a clear view of collective impact, prioritization, and scaling options
Design and deliver initiatives that tightly connect domain-level priorities with company-level strategic goals
Bring external perspectives when needed, through primary research, industry benchmarking, and engagement with professional services or consulting firms
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate across teams in the data and AI domains (e.g., Data Engineering, AI & Data Science, Analytics, Data Governance) and functional teams (e.g., Equinix functions that adopt data and AI solutions) to design and track initiatives aligned to strategic business priorities
Work jointly with the broader Chief Digital and Innovation organization to embed enterprise-level prioritization, resource visibility, and intake process enhancements
Build trusted partnerships across the enterprise, becoming a go-to strategic advisor and data ambassador for Equinix’s evolving data and AI portfolio
Qualifications
Strongly preferred: 6-8 years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Finance, Banking, or Consulting background with expertise in strategic planning, data and analytics, business casing, scenario planning
Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex technical topics into tangible business language
Proactive, self-starter leadership style with a track record of independently driving complex initiatives and stakeholder orchestration
Experience in interpedently preparing executive-ready materials (e.g., data and AI roadmap, initiative portfolio review)
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions, build credibility with senior leaders, and foster high-trust relationships
Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, data science, information management, or related field
Skills and Attributes
Strategic research and analytical skills, including external benchmarking and future-state visioning
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
Open-minded, intellectually curious, and highly engaging, with a collaborative and positive approach to problem-solving
Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, creating high levels of trust and influence at all organizational levels
Ability to navigate challenges with resilience, flexibility, and a strong focus on outcomes
Strong "can do" attitude, willing to flex between strategic planning and hands-on delivery as needed
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 112,000 - 162,000 CAD / Annual
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 103,000 - 155,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
