Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Americas Product marketing, the Director of Sales Play Activation will be a strategic leader responsible for driving the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the seller journey. This role will oversee a small team of content professionals dedicated to supporting direct sellers through the creation of compelling customer stories, high-value content assets, and pre-sales enablement tools. By effectively managing content governance, the Director will ensure consistency, quality, and brand compliance while identifying opportunities to enhance existing or develop new enablement tools. Additionally, they will foster collaboration across teams to streamline content activation and facilitate effective communication between Product and Solution Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the seller journey
Lead and manage a team of content professionals responsible for creating compelling content, including customer stories and enablement tools
Identify opportunities to enhance existing or develop new enablement tools, such as sales playbooks and competitive battlecards
Establish and manage a content governance framework to ensure consistency, quality, and brand compliance, including specific guidelines for content creation, review, and approval
Foster collaboration across teams to streamline content activation and facilitate effective communication between Product and Solution Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations
Provide rich content to support the Equinix training organization
Partner with Revenue Operations to integrate solution content into marquee sales events
Plan and execute a global content strategy for translation, updates, and localization, including specific processes for managing content updates and translations
Track and report on key KPIs related to content and tool usage, leveraging content analytics tools and metrics
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams

Specific Skills
Content Strategy Development: Experience in creating and implementing content strategies aligned with business goals
Content Governance: Knowledge of content governance frameworks and ability to establish and maintain content standards
Content Creation: Experience in creating various types of content, including customer stories, pitch decks, and competitive battlecards
Enablement Tool Development: Proficiency in creating and managing enablement tools to support sales and marketing teams
Process Improvement: Experience in developing and implementing efficient workflows and processes
Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate complex information effectively to senior leadership
Data Analysis: Experience with content analytics tools and metrics to measure content performance and optimize strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 10 years of experience in content marketing, sales enablement, or a related field

The United States targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
• San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $198,000 to $298,000 per year
• California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $191,000 to $287,000 per year
• Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $177,000 to $265,000 per year
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
