Job Summary

The Critical Facility Engineer position leverages knowledge and experience in a wide range of systems, including UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), HVAC, and fire protection systems.
Key responsibilities include managing and overseeing repair, maintenance, and replacement work in collaboration with facility vendors. The role also involves supervising power installation work for customer-contracted racks.

Since vendors handle the actual maintenance and installation work, the Critical Facility Engineer ensures quality and safety by attending maintenance sessions and reviewing and adjusting work procedures.

While verbal communication in English is rare, there are occasional situations where English is used in emails or chats. Therefore, basic reading and writing skills in English are required. However, AI tools can be used to assist with these tasks.

Responsibilities

At the data center, you will be involved in the following tasks:

• Instructing facility vendors on work procedures
• Attending maintenance work and ensuring safety
• Responding to incidents
• Managing construction projects related to low-voltage, high-voltage, and BMS systems
• Monitoring power and cooling demand in server rooms
• Managing work schedules
• Administrative tasks such as document preparation
• Initially, you will undergo on-site training by accompanying senior staff

Qualifications

• Japanese communication skills for internal and external interactions (JLPT N1 or equivalent proficiency)
• Willingness to use English for reading and writing (No resistance to using English; motivation to learn is welcome)
• Knowledge of electrical or mechanical systems
• Experience using English in a business setting

Working Hours

• Weekdays 9:00–18:00 (Full 5-day workweek)
• Occasional weekend work with compensatory time off

【Critical Facility Engineerとは】

Critical Facility Engineerは、UPS（無停電電源装置）や空調設備、消防設備など、幅広い設備に関する知識と経験を活かせるポジションです。

主な業務は、これらの設備の修繕・メンテナンス・リプレイス作業を、ファシリティベンダーと連携しながら実施・管理することです。

また、お客様が契約されているラックへの電源工事に関しても、工事の管理・監督を行います。

上記の修繕・メンテナンスや電源工事はベンダーが担当するため、Critical Facility Engineerはメンテナンス・作業時の立ち会いや、作業手順書の確認・調整などを通じて、品質と安全の確保に努めます。

なお、メールやチャットなどで英語を使用する場面がたまにあります。

そのため、基本的な読み書きのスキルが求められますが、AIなどを使用して対応することが可能です。

【職務内容】データセンターにて、主に以下の業務に携わっていただきます。
　■Facility venderへの作業指示
　■メンテナンス時の作業立ち合い及び安全確認
　■障害対応
　■弱電、強電、BMS関連の工事発注等の施工管理
　■サーバールーム内の電源、空調の需要率管理
　■業務のスケジュール管理
　■書類作成等の事務的作業
　※入社から当面のうちは先輩社員に同行し現地での作業を通して研修をおこないます。

【必須条件】

■日本語での社内外とのコミュニケーションスキル

　日本語能力試験「JLPT」 N1を取得、又は同等に日本語ができる方 
■読み書きで英語を使用することに抵抗が無い方
　※英語に抵抗がない方、取り組む意欲がある方も可

■電気もしくは機械設備の知識がある方
