      Why This Role Matters
      As a Data Center Critical Facilities Engineer III, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our data center operations. This is an opportunity to grow your technical expertise, collaborate with industry leaders, and make an impact in one of the most essential sectors of the digital economy.

      Responsibilities

      Facility & Infrastructure Maintenance

      • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility systems to keep operations running smoothly.
      • Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and respond to alarms promptly, following standard operating procedures.
      • Assist senior engineers with complex repairs and corrective actions.
      • Operate plumbing, fire suppression, and safety systems under supervision.

      Vendor Coordination

      • Partner with vendors to ensure maintenance activities meet Equinix’s high standards.
      • Oversee work orders and review completed tasks for quality assurance.

      Site Administration & Incident Support

      • Maintain accurate logs for permits, MOPs, and scripts.
      • Support incident response and assist senior staff during critical events.

      Work Orders & Projects

      • Complete work requests and circuit installations.
      • Troubleshoot and maintain auxiliary equipment as needed.

      Collaboration

      • Work closely with team members to resolve facility issues.
      • Provide input on infrastructure projects and inventory needs.


      What We're Looking For

      • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years of relevant experience in facilities, electrical, or mechanical systems.
      • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, and eagerness to learn advanced systems.
      • Mindset: Team player with a proactive approach and commitment to operational excellence.
      • Comfortable working in a shift-based schedule and performing hands-on activities in tight spaces or at height.
