Job Summary

Implements billing operations to maximize effectiveness and accuracy. Audits the accuracy of billing information entered in the system and monitors the operation of the billing systems. Develops solutions to billing issues and works with systems design to implement new features. May work on billing projects with Billing Operations Mgmt.

Responsibilities

Billing

  • Monitors and ensures that the monthly billing is complete and accurate for assigned customer base in accordance with close calendar

  • Processes billing adjustments timely and accurately to customer accounts making sure that the proper levels of authorization and documentation are in place

  • Reviews Invoices and contracts, and conducts variance analysis, with sign off required

  • Review and resolve assigned billing cases in a timely and accurate manner to meet all internal SLAs

  • Works closely with cross functional organizations to respond to customer inquiries to investigate and resolve potential customer billing issues

  • Resolves and tracks billing issues as they arise working with the upstream teams to fix root cause problems (e.g. SLA credits, install date discrepancies)

  • Performs month end close activities

  • Processes data fix as requested

Project Management

  • Participates on projects and ad hoc assignments as needed

  • Researches and provides backup for internal/external audit requests

  • Implements and documents processes and procedures required by SOX

  • Provides input into the on-going development and support of billing systems, processes, and policies

  

 System Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Oracle (preferably Cloud environment)

  • Experience with Siebel, Salesforce (SFDC)

  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word proficient at intermediate level

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Billing experience in a global or multi-national companies

  • Excellent communication skills including research, writing, and presentation skills

  • Experience dealing with escalations from internal and external customers

  • Must have a ‘can do’ attitude, foster a mindset of accurate and timely billing and has a great attention to detail

  • Can work as both an individual and as part of a team

  • Models the Equinix Culture and Values

  • Analytical Skills:  Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends, and discrepancies in billing data

  • Attention to Detail:  Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in invoices and billing processes

  • Communication Skills:  Strong communication skills to interact with clients, resolve issues, and collaborate with other departments

  • Problem-Solving Skills:  Ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies and other issues

  • Time Management Skills:  Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  Ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision with tight deadlines
