Job Summary

The Senior Manager of Product Marketing, Strategic Initiatives is a highly strategic, execution-oriented leader responsible for driving cross-functional initiatives spanning product marketing, solution marketing, and the broader CRO organization. This role serves as a central orchestrator, owning strategy, integrated planning, day-to-day execution, and executive-level reporting for priority initiatives that advance the Product Marketing organization’s goals. 

Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, this role partners closely with Product Marketing leaders, Product Management, Solutions, Sales, Corporate Marketing, and external agencies to ensure initiatives are delivered with clarity, consistency, and measurable impact. The Senior Manager will also play a critical role in enabling successful product launches, strategic campaigns, and high visibility events, ensuring alignment from vision through execution. 

This role is ideal for a senior product marketer who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complexity, and is comfortable operating as both a strategic advisor and hands on operator. 

 

Responsibilities 

Strategic Initiative Leadership 

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of initiatives aligned to Product Marketing priorities

  • Translate high-level strategic objectives into clear, executable plans, milestones, and success metrics

  • Act as a connective layer across product, solution, and portfolio marketing teams to ensure cohesive strategy and consistent execution

  • Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities across initiatives and proactively drive resolution

Planning, Execution & Program Management 

  • Lead day-to-day execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, on scope, and aligned to business goals

  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines, and operating rhythms across internal teams and external partners and agencies

  • Establish repeatable frameworks and processes to scale execution across launches, campaigns, and events

  • Balance strategic thinking with hands on execution, stepping in as needed to move work forward

Product Launches & Events 

  • Partner with product and solution marketing leaders to plan and execute complex, multiproduct launches and solution level go-to-market motions

  • Coordinate launch readiness across messaging, content, enablement, campaigns, and events

  • Support planning and execution of flagship events and strategic moments, ensuring alignment to broader GTM and narrative goals

  • Serve as a central point of accountability for launch and event execution excellence

Agency & Partner Management 

  • Work hand in hand with external agencies (creative, content, PR, event, or integrated) to execute strategic initiatives and campaigns

  • Own agency briefs, timelines, feedback cycles, and deliverables to ensure high quality outcomes

  • Ensure agency work is tightly aligned to Equinix strategy, messaging, and brand standards

Executive Reporting & Communications 

  • Develop clear, concise executive level reporting on initiative progress, outcomes, and impact

  • Synthesize complex inputs into compelling narratives for senior leadership

  • Prepare materials and updates for executive reviews, readouts, and key decision points

  • Use data and insights to inform recommendations and guide prioritization

Cross Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with Product Management, Solutions, Sales, Demand, Corporate Marketing, and other stakeholders

  • Drive alignment across teams with differing priorities, timelines, and success metrics

  • Influence without authority, building trust and momentum across senior stakeholders

 

Qualifications 

Required 

  • 8–12+ years of experience in product marketing, solution marketing, or strategic marketing roles in B2B technology

  • Proven experience leading largescale, cross functional initiatives from strategy through execution

  • Strong background in product launches, integrated campaigns, and agency management

  • Exceptional program management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex workstreams

  • Executive ready communication skills, including experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership

  • Ability to operate effectively in fast paced, ambiguous environments

Preferred 

  • Experience working across portfolio level or platform based products and solutions

  • Familiarity with enterprise or infrastructure-focused technology markets

  • Experience building or scaling repeatable marketing frameworks and operating models

  • External agencies operate as true extensions of the team, producing high quality work efficiently, on-time and within budget

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 186,000 - 280,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
