Job Summary: Under the guidance of the department head, the Senior Manager, Data Strategy is responsible for ensuring the consistency and accuracy of master data assets across business functional applications in accordance with corporate policies, controls, and requirements. The individual will identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve enterprise-wide master data quality and consistency. The individual will also identify metrics and provide management reporting.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and prepare business analysis, plans & requirement definitions
Support the functional design and implementation of MDM and create solutions to meet business objectives and resolve system/process issues
Develop a strategic vision and roadmap that is forward-looking and serves as an interface to the overall business strategy
Understand and utilize data to make data-driven decisions on designs, solutions and use data to guide others in making decisions and future strategy planning
Understand the impact of master data changes within end-to-end processes and data life cycle. Anticipate downstream consequences of change on other business areas and systems
Analyze data and work directly with business data owners to define and draft business rules to resolve data quality issues
Collaborate with technical architects, leads, and teams to develop strategy, implement and evolve it over time
Administer master data management standards, define, and enforce data governance procedures, and ensure data integrity across multiple platforms
Drive strong partnerships across the organization to fully understand their business goals and link to data needs
Help the company drive innovation and leverage data to help support company growth and productivity
Coordinate cross-functional decisions impacting shared data, tools or processes.
Collaborate with data owners and users to unify data through modern data management techniques
Define and implement best practices for data architecture, data processing, and master data management
10+ years related experience. 3-5 years demonstrated analytical skills, to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, summarize low-level information to general understanding statements, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or relevant engineering discipline. Master's degree preferred
Business process mapping, requirements gathering sessions, and documenting detailed business requirements
Strong verbal/written communication skills with ability to present high impact material in front of both small and large groups required
Proven ability to resolve complex problems across multiple business and IT stakeholder groups in an effective and timely manner required
Strong familiarity and experience in designing solutions to scale business functions involved in the end-end customer journey
Experience with master data management, data integration, data governance, data analysis, or data quality to support cross-functional business teams.
