Job Summary

The Network Implementation Expert joins the Managed Services organization to design, implement, and optimize advanced network infrastructures for enterprise and data center customers. This role serves as a technical authority for complex network deployments in hybrid environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and highly available solutions. The position contributes directly to operational excellence, automation initiatives, and the successful delivery of mission-critical customer projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead the implementation of enterprise-grade network solutions in data center and hybrid environments.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for complex network architectures, configurations, and integrations.

  • Provide technical leadership during critical implementation phases, migrations, and transformations.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.

  • Drive automation and optimization initiatives to improve network reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver tailored, high-quality network solutions.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing network environments.

  • Support incident resolution and complex troubleshooting activities when required.

Required Qualifications

Technical Experience and Expertise

  • Solid experience in network engineering within enterprise and/or data center environments.

  • Proven ability to design, implement, and support highly available, secure, and resilient network infrastructures.

Core Technical Skills

Routing and Switching

  • Advanced proficiency with enterprise-grade switches and routers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).

  • Demonstrated expertise with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and related technologies.

Data Center Networking

  • Hands-on experience with software-defined networking and fabric-based architectures (e.g., Cisco ACI, VMware NSX).

  • Practical experience integrating multi-vendor network environments.

Security and Firewalls

  • Advanced knowledge of firewall platforms such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA.

  • Practical experience with VPN technologies, including site-to-site and client-to-site connectivity.

  • Familiarity with IDS/IPS solutions and network security best practices.

High Availability and Resilience

  • Demonstrated proficiency with redundancy and failover protocols such as HSRP, VRRP, and GLBP.

Network Performance and Monitoring

  • Strong understanding of Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic prioritization.

  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and performance tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Nagios.

Cloud and Hybrid Networking

  • Solid knowledge of hybrid cloud networking across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

  • Practical experience with cloud-native networking services, including load balancers, virtual gateways, and cloud security configurations.

Language Skills

  • Fluent English for technical communication, documentation, and presentations.

  • Intermediate Spanish for collaboration with regional and global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform.

  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with MPLS and SD-WAN solutions.

  • Additional professional certifications related to networking, cloud, or cybersecurity.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Specialized certifications and advanced academic qualifications are considered an advantage.
