Job Summary

As the MCE Procurement Support Snr Manager at Equinix, you will play a crucial role in supporting MCE leaders in driving the strategic direction of the Procurement function. Equinix is a global data center and interconnection company that provides a platform for businesses to thrive in the digital world. This key leadership position requires a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful individual who can collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization to optimize procurement processes, drive efficiency, and enhance business performance.

Responsibilities

Strategic Support

  • Collaborate closely with MCE and PMO Leadership to identify areas of opportunity for process improvement, cost savings, and supplier optimization by coordinating procurement personnel

  • Leverage data analysis and insights to identify strategic opportunities and present actionable recommendations to the leadership team for decision-making, while ensure that these recommendations are supported by relevant KPIs for informed decision-making

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the MCE Leadership and S/VPs of Procurement, facilitating communication and coordination with senior executives, department leaders, and cross-functional teams

  • Foster strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure effective alignment with Procurement initiatives

Operations and Performance Management

  • Oversee and optimize the procurement process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness

  • Monitor and analyze procurement performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, and develop action plans accordingly

Communications and Reporting Management

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting frameworks to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and measure progress against strategic goals

  • Generate regular reports on vendor performance, escalations, financial metrics, and project outcomes to provide insights for decision-making

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy in reporting processes

  • Utilize reporting tools and software to automate data collection and visualization, enhancing the efficiency of reporting activities

  • Oversee website development and maintenance to ensure that reporting tools and dashboards are effectively integrated and easily accessible to stakeholders

Cross-functional Project Management

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional corporate projects and initiatives, coordinating efforts among different teams and ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget

Budget and Resource Management

  • Create slide decks and necessary reports for Finance and Procurement leadership quarterly calls, providing comprehensive insights into the Procurement function's performance and strategic initiatives

Schedule and Team Coordination Management

  • Manage and maintain senior leadership calendars, ensuring optimal scheduling of appointments, meetings, and events while prioritizing conflicting commitments

  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and materials in advance, ensuring all attendees are informed and prepared for discussions

  • Facilitate communication among team members to confirm availability and gather input for scheduling, promoting efficient collaboration

  • Track and follow up on action items and meeting outcomes, ensuring accountability and timely completion of tasks assigned during meetings

Policy and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards, working with the Legal and Compliance departments to mitigate potential risks as needed

Talent Development and Mentorship

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the Procurement team

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, encouraging their development and promoting a high-performance work environment

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement operations, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally within a global organization

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, motivate, and mentor a diverse team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use insights to drive decision-making

  • Project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional initiatives.

  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, legal requirements, and compliance standards

  • Proactive and innovative mindset, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic business environment

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field or equivalent experience preferred

  • 7+ years experience preferred

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 136,000 - 204,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 119,000 - 179,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
