Racks and stacks customer equipment with guidance from more senior team members
Installs Patching for Cross Connects and updates Siebel systems
Facility / Infrastructure Maintenance
Performs site inspections and monitors the building and IBX alarms
Performs preventative maintenance on site infrastructure (e.g. maintenance of primary infrastructures), or manages vendors
Assists more senior staff in repairs and corrective maintenance
Facilities - Completion of site logs and data gathering for permits, such as MOPs and scripts
Field - Determines work priorities from the Oracle/Siebel queue and ensures adherence to all commit times
Testing / Troubleshooting/ Incidents
Independently conducts carrier circuit testing
Assists more senior staff with responding to all on-site incidents and acts as directed
May begin responding to basic incidents based on own knowledge and experience
Installs/Tests/Modifies Cross Connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper , and intra-building cross connects
Installs and tests advanced cross connects circuits (switched, multiplexed, etc.) with guidance from more senior team members
Installs and test IBXLink cross connects (T1, DS3, OC3-48, Eth, GigE, 10Gig)
Documentation / Reporting
Maintains detailed written records of all work activity
Supports fulfillment of projects with direction from senior staff
Completes all assigned training in a timely manner
Supports customer satisfaction through timely and precise order execution
Supports customer satisfaction through Siebel Access support and Shipments.
Ideally 2-3 years' experience in a Data Centre or similar role
Excellent problem solving and communication skills
High School Diploma
University Degree relevant (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics) or TAFE Diploma,
