The Director of IT Enterprise Applications-Service Management directs a team of business engagement and solution authorities aligned to Equinix’s global Service Management capability. The role spans Data Center and Network Services. This leader drives key program execution by accepting modern Service Management concepts and practices. The role collaborates with Operations business function, Product engineering and other teams within IT. The role is responsible for driving the long-term Service Management vision for Equinix Operations.
Leadership role that is responsible for the business engagement for Service management with the Operations organization and is responsible for all IT execution in support of and in service to the Transformations programs under this domain
Leads the creation of the technology vision, roadmap and delivery in support of the Operations organization and it’s technology needs
Takes full accountability across the lifecycle of technology (plan, design, implement, support)
Enable simplified processes and lead implementation of new digital solutions to enhance delivery speed and product quality
Promote and practice an approach to invigorate dynamic initiatives and ensure successful implementation across teams
Define and implement new operating model changes to accelerate digital transformation e.g., agile
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key business customers on how IT systems capabilities can solve their business problems
Translate customer business needs into technology requirements and push for business process transparency where needed
Develop cohesive strategy for enterprise apps and find opportunities to drive strategic consistency across groups
Ensure enterprise apps strategy remains in line with organizational strategic goals and objectives
Maintain external network to gain strategic market insights and stay ahead of on tech trends
15+ years in IT field requiring direct management of applications systems, personnel, and budget OR 15+ years leading, owning and delivering applications systems, preferably in tech industry with a distributed team
Experience with Service Management operations & technology – ITSM
Experience leading technology transformation, particularly in customer enabling applications
Experience leading an organization through an agile transformation and/ or through cloud migration
Experience designing and supporting an enterprise-wide customer and employee enabling systems
Outstanding ability to collaborate with business customer teams to align on multi-functional processes
Excellent problem-solving ability to understand business customer needs, drive prioritization, and deliver systems
Ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision and influence across the organization
Ability to be results driven to achieve desired outcomes
Skills & Attributes
Seasoned execution on ServiceNow ITSM modules is a must
Excellent collaborator, exert influence, communicate and be a great partner at all levels of the organization
Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to change and deal with ambiguity
Skilled at handling sophisticated issues with leadership
Ability to encourage behavior change in a highly matrixed environment
Skilled at data driven decision making

Familiarity with Datacenter equipment, architecture and systems highly desired
