Equinix is seeking an amazing Product Marketing Insights, Senior Analyst to play an important role in driving platform thinking in the company. This role will focus on insights and communications internally to demonstrate platform consumption by customers and our channel partners. Slick reporting will drive awareness and action by our marketing and sales organisations.  Leading briefings and read-outs as a Platform Equinix insights representative and a key member of the global Platform marketing team. This role transcends data analytics and uses the art of storytelling to make impact and drive change in how we sell and market our platform.  


Responsibilities

  • Drive platform adoption initiatives using product consumption data and insights to make impact within our sales, marketing and customer care teams. 
  • Drive product reporting requirements – advise the global product reporting team on Tableau dashboards that best tell a platform story
  • Run analytics in support of Platform Marketing and Sales teams initiatives
  • Create creative reporting that identifies actionable insights
  • Drive a communications program which shifts the metrics from point product to platform and bring sales and channel on that journey
  • Craft insights and graphics to include in platform sales tools
  • Drive reporting process that becomes established in support of Platform GTM efforts
  • Manage reporting interlocks with product, sales, channel and marketing  
  • Create and innovate on new ways to draw insights and opportunities to attract more adoption of the platform
  • Conduct market research and understand customer needs to gain deep knowledge of digital infrastructure and how interconnection and colocation solves for digital transformation
  • Integrate platform insights into sales and marketing briefings and contribute to sales enablement activities
  • Create content and sales tools that articulate how customers are engaging with the platform today and run benchmarking within their industries
  • Articulate Platform insights and methodologies to other analytics and insight functions within the company and develop partnerships that raise the level of customer insights and how they transact with our platform
  • Recommend data storytelling best practice to drive platform adoption for the company

The candidate:

  • Role requires a good understanding of the technology industry and product consumption data
  • Driven by making an impact, the candidate will have demonstrable experience in raising the bar for data storytelling that causes a stir
  • Marketing, product or sales operations experience is highly desirable  
  • Experience of articulating insights to a senior management audience is desirable

Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years with Business or Technology focus, with at least 3 years in insights ideally in data insight or data storytelling roles
  • Must have advance Excel skills (expertise in vlookups , Pivot tables, macros, Data, Power Query, Tables & Formatting etc)
  • Ability to analyse consumption trends and identify reporting design including quadrants, models and scattergrams to be consumed by a general business audience
  • Proven ability to persuade and drive calls to action, improving product performance
  • Experience in operating in complex, multi-national and multi-faceted (e.g. matrix) environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sets high personal standards and is goal oriented and performance driven
  • Exceptional communications skills – able to put across complex data insights simply and comfortable in addressing audiences large and small
  • Culturally aware and adept at working across multiple geographies
  • Proven project management skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to be execution-driven and results-oriented to ensure strategy translates to outcomes
