Job Summary: We are seeking a highly-motivated individual, with strong attention to detail to support the Company’s worldwide consolidation, related accounting, and financial reporting. This position will work with the global accounting/finance teams to support the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and completeness. The position will be a point of contact for corporate consolidation matters and drive accounting efficiencies across all levels within the Company.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for oversight of intercompany transactions as well as the completeness and accuracy of the intercompany accounts.
Prepare intercompany journals and identify and resolve any out of balance conditions.
Prepare various deliverables to support the preparation of the financial statements and quarterly reporting. Includes redefining and automating such reporting in Hyperion (PBCS).
Assist in maintaining the integrity of the consolidation hierarchy structure; eliminations, validation testing, ensuring data accuracy, and completeness in the applicable system.
Reconcile consolidation applications to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Preparation of consolidating topside entries.
Monitor and update exchange rates.
Calculate and record monthly expense allocation activity.
Complete various government surveys and questionnaires.
Responsible for SOX compliance efforts, including executing internal controls, and completing and maintaining process documentation to ensure SOX 404 compliance in connection with the consolidation process and financial reporting.
Assist in the gathering and reviewing of consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information for internal and external reporting, audits, reviews, and tax compliance.
Interface effectively with functions across the organization domestically and internationally; general ledger, treasury, tax, internal and external auditors.
Partner with business units to provide support for close and reporting activities.
Design and implement automated approaches to tasks that will provide efficient and effective results for intercompany processes.
Assist with special projects, such as legal entity reporting improvements.
Qualifications
2 - 5 years of accounting experience, a minimum of two years of intercompany and consolidation accounting experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Knowledge of US GAAP / ASC 830.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision with tight deadlines is a must.
Thinks outside of the box; willing to challenge existing processes to drive efficiency.
Is a team player, adept at building relationships within Finance and across organizations.
Views challenges as opportunities.
Experience with Oracle/OracleCl Financials preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
