Job Summary

Equinix is looking for an experienced Technology Program Manager to join our Digital and Innovation Organization’s (DIO) Program Management Office team and manage strategic transformational projects, including acting as the SAFe Agile Release Train Engineer or Solution Train Engineer for a large technology portfolio.  The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Agile methodologies, particularly in the SAFe framework, and have a proven track record of facilitating large-scale Agile projects. This role requires a strategic thinker within a Fortune 500 environment. Responsibilities

  • Act as the RTE or STE for multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs), facilitating PI planning, execution, and continuous improvement

  • Organize and facilitate SAFe Program Increment (PI) planning workshops, engaging participants to define Agile Goals, Initiatives, Capabilities, Epics, and User Stories

  • Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders to prioritize features and ensure alignment with business strategy during PI planning

  • Lead retrospectives and inspect-and-adapt sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable solutions

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery of program objectives, managing dependencies and risks effectively

  • Ensure compliance with SAFe principles and practices, providing guidance and support to teams in their Agile journey

  • Define Agile metrics, implement Agile metrics, run and monitor Agile reports, identify Agile operation issues, recommend improvements, and implement improvements to Scrum teams

  • Facilitate the adoption of SAFe methodologies, including the establishment of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Lean Portfolio Management practices

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment on Agile initiatives and business objectives

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership on Agile transformation and program management progress, challenges, and successes.

  • Support financial tracking and reporting for projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals

  • Facilitate workshops with senior leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable Goals, Capabilities, Epics, and User Stories for Scrum teams.

  • Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies across projects and programs, ensuring alignment and collaboration among teams

  • Coach teams on Agile best practices and metrics (velocity, burndown, backlog health) using Jira and Confluence

  • Facilitate Scrum of Scrums and structure work delivery across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) through ART ceremonies (PI Planning, ART Sync, PO Sync, System Demo)

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical project management experience

  • SAFe Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related technical field

  • Proven experience in Agile Transformation, with experience as an Agile Coach or Release Train Engineer in a SAFe environment

  • Demonstrated expertise in running large-scale SAFe PI planning workshops, including facilitation of priority-setting sessions with executives

  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a track record of successful executive communication and presentation

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-informed decision-making

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, or related technical field

  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or equivalent

  • Strong technical proficiency in Jira and Confluence, with hands-on experience in customizing and optimizing these tools for Agile teams

  • Other Project Management certifications (i.e. PMP)

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 118,000 - 176,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
