Job Summary
The Product Manager will partner with the Tax business and technology teams to define, develop, and manage the lifecycle of Tax Technology products and solutions from discovery through delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement.
The role will translate Tax business needs and pain points into a clear product strategy, roadmap, and prioritized product capabilities, working closely with engineering, data, technology, and global Tax stakeholders.
The ideal candidate combines strong Tax domain expertise, product management capability, technology understanding, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate across business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Product Roadmap
Partner with Tax stakeholders to understand business priorities, processes, pain points, and technology opportunities.
Define and prioritize the Tax Technology product roadmap aligned with business and IT strategy.
Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve Tax processes through technology and data products.
Balance business value, technical feasibility, risk, scalability, and delivery priorities.
Product Discovery & Requirements
Translate Tax business requirements into product capabilities, user stories, and prioritized backlog items.
Understand end-to-end Tax processes and data flows across Oracle Financials, Oracle TRCS, transfer pricing and related systems.
Partner with Tax users to identify opportunities for automation, analytics, reconciliation, and improved decision-making.
Evaluate business needs and define solutions that can scale across global Tax teams.
Product Development & Delivery
Own product development from discovery and requirements through delivery, UAT, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Partner with engineering, data, and technology teams to define product requirements and delivery priorities.
Lead backlog refinement, prioritization, dependency management, and release planning.
Define acceptance criteria, test cases, and UAT requirements to ensure solutions meet business outcomes.
Monitor product adoption, quality, performance, and user feedback and drive continuous improvements.
Business Value & Stakeholder Management
Build business cases and articulate the value, ROI, and business impact of product investments.
Define success metrics such as adoption, automation, efficiency, reporting cycle time, data quality, and user experience.
Build strong relationships with global Tax stakeholders and manage expectations across business and technology teams.
Communicate product strategy, roadmap, priorities, risks, and progress to senior stakeholders.
Market & Product Innovation
Stay current on emerging Tax Technology, AI, automation, analytics
Evaluate industry solutions and identify opportunities to improve the Tax technology ecosystem.
Recommend product enhancements and new capabilities based on business needs and market trends.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Systems, Technology Consulting, or Functional Consulting.
Strong experience working with Tax Technology / Direct Tax environments.
Experience with Oracle TRCS or similar Tax Technology solutions preferred.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Financials is an advantage.
Understanding of corporate income tax, tax provision, transfer pricing, and tax data processes.
Experience translating business needs into product requirements, user stories, roadmaps, and prioritized backlogs.
Experience managing products or technology solutions through discovery, development, UAT, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Strong understanding of data, analytics, system integrations, and enterprise technology.
Experience working with global, cross-functional teams across Business, IT, Engineering, and Data.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex business and technology problems and drive decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; CA/CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
