Job Summary:
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work closely with various stakeholders to gather, document, update and distribute best practices related to commercial contracts, processes and policies. You will also be responsible for initiating and facilitating regular updates to global pricing and quoting guidelines for our sales teams, in addition to maintaining our internal tools and templates. The successful candidate will be the vital link between Commercial Operations and other organizations within Equinix (Product Management, Legal, IT etc.) to inform and assess the impact of various process or policy changes. You should be able to work independently with necessary guidance and be able to successfully deliver your work within specified timelines.
Responsibilities
Determines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analyzing a range of functional and/or cross-functional issues (sometimes complex or with a high level of ambiguity)
Identifies process gaps and issues, and formulates plans to address these
Assesses impact of manual workarounds
Manages stakeholder expectations within team and/or across functions
Identifies and proactively includes relevant stakeholders and communications effectively
Calls out to higher management to resolve complex stakeholder issues
Status reporting providing periodic project updates, highlighting risks, issues, and concerns
Owns documentation of best practices relevant to Commercial Operations and assists with regular updates of training material and other documents by working with both internal and external stakeholders
Proactively gets in touch with stakeholders to find opportunities to create structured and formal documentation of processes and activities
Assesses post-change benefits and success criteria
Obtains, creates, and documents business requirements engaging multiple stakeholders
Assists with creating business requirement documentations (BRDs) and handles cross-functional and cross-regional reviews of low/medium complexity
Works with BAs and IT team on solution design and development
Understands and communicates the financial and operational impact of any changes
Assesses solutions from multiple angles
Partners with stakeholders to analyze, define, and document business processes within and across functions
Builds reports, dashboards and models to analyze, report, and present data to find opportunities for improvement of key business metrics
Presents insights and opportunities to stakeholders
Build and maintain tools spanning technologies such as MS Excel, Tableau, PowerApps, Python etc.
Assesses priority based on fit to agreed organizational criteria
Recommends alternative solutions, calling out to more senior members
Represents and protects vital commercial and business interests at various forums
Participates in cross-functional discussions to drive issues, challenges, and prioritization efforts
Supports in providing vital feedback, guidance and/or advice to team members
5+ years of experience in related field preferred
A strong academic background with demonstrable commercial savvy; bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Understanding of programming languages such as Java/JavaScript and databases (MS Access, SQL Server and MySQL) preferred
Must be proficient in MS Office applications and advanced Excel (UDFs, Macros, VBA) with solid background in modelling and analytics
Must be familiar with MS Power Apps, Salesforce Analytics Cloud and Tableau
