Job Summary
Provides 24x7x365 support for all Telecom end users. Responsible for the deployment of required infrastructure to support all IBX, offices and M&A projects globally. Deploys and supports global Telecom infrastructure. Continually analyzes and implements new technology services available in the market to meet evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
Outside plant vendor and project management and overall ownership as it relates to RFPs including tie cables and custom orders for IBIDs
Capacity management of manholes, conduits, ducts and FE’s, as well as possession of supporting budgets and project plans
Manages the relationship with carriers for dark fiber
Ability to perform fiber testing and troubleshooting via OTDR & OLTS
Ownership and upkeep of underground diagrams (butterfly and/or dynamic charting) including campus, Metro Connect, and Fiber Connect
Manhole, conduit, and duct ownership both on/off the property
Ability to understand the public right of way and easement scenarios, as well as escalation paths to this effect
POC management for carrier owned pathways as it relates to long haul services and our metro connect products
IBID management – capacity tracking, assignment, augments/new deployments
Tier 2 support for fiber outages
Characterizes dark fiber for NSE prior to putting equipment on it
Manages work visits in FE room and MHs
Manage relationship with our third-party trusted providers
Submit PO requests via SharePoint, which included the full RFP process
Provides training to technicians and SEs on network products
Travel to sites as necessary
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or 3+ years’ experience working with OSP/ISP installations
RCDD, RTPM, or CFOS/T certification preferred
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - SV3 Silicon Valley : 139,000 - 209,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
