Job Summary

Responsible for architecture, design, deployment, and troubleshooting of different software solutions. Interacts with the business and product teams to influence requirements. Responsible for integration with all business systems and applications. Works closely with the architecture and networking teams, to influence the design, validation, and deployments.

Equinix Software Architecture & Engineering team is on a mission to help build Equinix’s next-generation interconnection and SDN platform - Equinix Cloud Exchange. We are looking for excellent software developers to join this team to build a next-generation SDN-based platform.

Responsibilities

  • As a key member of the Equinix Product Engineering function, you will be involved in the software development life cycle with a focus on delivering solutions for Interconnection product systems

  • Work in a Globally Distributed Development team environment with minimal supervision

  • Hands-on Architecture, Design, Development, Automation Testing & Support of Software Products and Solutions

  • Interact with stakeholder(s) to understand and document the product feature(s)

  • Provides a level of effort (LOE) for the product backlog. Work with technical project managers and product management teams to define a schedule

  • Integrate software product(s) with other systems, test interfaces, and manage version control

  • Assist in the analysis & evaluation of new technologies to meet the demand for the product roadmap and technology platform goals

  • Create and maintain documentation for AI model development and deployment processes.

  • Stay current with industry best practices and trends in AI development to continuously improve our technology stack.

  • Participate in Design & Peer Code Review process

  • Provides status reports and helps with release management planning

  • Breaking down the big features and user stories into granular components and development tasks considering different geo-locations

  • Prioritizing and parallelizing the tasks in hand and dealing with ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field with 3+ years of professional software development experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of Full-stack expertise in application design & development with Java/Go technologies with knowledge of Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Message Queues & Workflow Engines with microservices architecture

  • Minimum of 2+ years of expertise in writing Test Automation scripts using Karate & Cypress

  • DevOps mindset to improve CICD using GitHub Actions and review DORA metrics to improve processes

  • Strong programming foundation with knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Design Patterns

  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy AI and machine learning solutions

  • Nice to have 2+ years of experience with JavaScript, React, Angular, and HTML5/CSS3

  • 2+ years of experience with database technologies (NoSQL, SQL, and Time-series Databases)

  • Hands-on experience with continuous integration and delivery using public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and container technologies such as Docker, Rancher, etc.

  • Experience in architecting and building large-scale systems using a scale-out architecture that requires high availability, performance, high scalability, and multi-tenancy

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Redwood City Office GHQ : 109,000 - 163,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
