Job Summary
Leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient datacenter operations. Determines resources, processes, and priorities to meet organizational goals. Provides direction within established policies while recommending improvements to enhance performance across multiple functions. Plays a key role in financial execution, workforce planning, and translating strategic objectives into operational results.
Responsibilities
Management & Leadership
Leads supervisors and technical staff, ensuring consistent standards and a strong safety culture
Oversees staffing, performance management, coaching, and development
Supports testing, project execution, and incident response activities
Project & Site Operations
Plans and allocates resources for data center projects, maintenance, and capacity needs
Contributes to budget planning and cost management
Converts functional plans into operational processes and ensures consistent execution
Vendor Oversight
Manages contractor performance to meet KPIs, SLAs, and safety expectations
Ensures work quality, compliance, and timely completion
Testing & Commissioning
Ensures proper testing procedures and complete documentation
Leads operational handover of new builds and infrastructure
Authors Maintenance Operation Protocol (MOP) scripts
Incident Management
Directs on‑site response during incidents and coordinates communication
Supports root cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions
Qualifications
Required
8+ years of relevant experience in data center operations, critical infrastructure, or related fields
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and critical infrastructure systems
Experience leading multi‑layered teams and developing talent
Proven ability in project management, vendor oversight, and capacity planning
Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Familiarity with operational standards and continuous improvement practices
The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
United States - NY9 New York City : 130,000 - 194,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
