Our Equinix EMEA Corporate Controlling team is looking for a Senior Statutory Accountant. The Statutory Reporting team is responsible for US GAAP and statutory reporting, management of external audits, and financial controlling activities associated with tax, treasury, and legal transactions.
This role is responsible for managing statutory accounting and reporting for EMEA legal entities, coordinating the statutory accounts preparation process (including local statutory audits), and ensuring strong control posture and compliance with both internal and external requirements. The role also includes ownership and oversight of secondary ledgers used for local GAAP and statutory reporting purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Accounting & Reporting
Prepare financial statements (including notes) for statutory filing purposes under various local GAAP requirements.
Manage statutory accounting and reporting for multiple EMEA legal entities.
Coordinate the statutory accounts preparation process, including interaction with third-party preparers where applicable.
Support reorganization, M&A, and legal entity formation transactions for Local GAAP purposes.
Prepare year-over-year analyses for local GAAP financial statements and clearly explain material variances.
Secondary Ledgers & GAAP Bridging
Own and maintain secondary ledgers used for Local GAAP and statutory reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of local GAAP adjustments in secondary ledgers.
Review and validate US GAAP to Local GAAP bridges provided by GL, Revenue, Leasing, and Fixed Assets teams.
Ensure alignment between primary (US GAAP) and secondary (Local GAAP) ledgers, including reconciliation and documentation of differences.
Support the design, maintenance, and improvement of secondary ledger processes and controls.
Review, Controls & Compliance
Review local GAAP trial balances for accuracy prior to submission to auditors or external financial statement preparers.
Apply local GAAP procedures as a guide and provide clear review comments to accountants, following up to ensure timely corrections.
Manage the timing and execution of local GAAP adjustments and audits.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, control procedures, and local statutory requirements.
Update and maintain local GAAP and secondary ledger procedures and documentation.
Audit & Stakeholder Management
Act as a key liaison between accounting teams, external auditors, and other stakeholders (Tax, Treasury, Legal).
Manage the collection of reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation for statutory and tax audits.
Support local GAAP and tax audits, including responding to audit queries related to secondary ledger postings.
Reporting & Adhoc Activities
Track and report KPIs, including late submissions and audit status.
Support adhoc analyses and statutory-related projects as required.
Experience & Qualifications
Solid years of experience in accounting operations, statutory reporting, or audit.
Strong experience with multi-country statutory reporting in a large multinational environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS, with the ability to interpret and apply European local GAAPs.
Hands-on experience with secondary ledgers and GAAP bridging is strongly preferred.
Audit or accounting experience in a public accounting firm is a strong plus.
Experience in high-growth, multinational organizations and acquisition integration projects is an advantage.
Proficiency in a foreign language is a big plus, particularly French, Spanish, or Turkish.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
Poland - Warsaw Office WAO : 139,000 - 223,000 PLN / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
