Job Summary: This is the position into the global Network Service Management department. Regional Change Mangers are responsible to implementing and controlling the Change Management Policy and Processes globally that involves capturing, analyzing and approving change works affecting the live network & edge services. Drive continuous service improvement working closely with the Service Management Team to ensure the best quality of service to our customers and global alignments of processes.
Coordinates and controls the lifecycle of Changes, ensure policy and processes and KPI are meet.
Reviews all new submitted CMR´s on daily bases.
Determine required level of authorization for the assessment of a proposed Change and chair the Change Advisory Board.
Drive incident and problem to root cause related to changes, document, follow up and track on remedial/preventive actions.
Interface between Global Networks Service Management and external departments.
Drive tool improvement and new features request.
Investigate and log failed and unsuccessful changes define and track improvement actions.
Identify operational issues and suggest design alterations to address these issues.
Working in a distributed global Network team.
Support to plan schedule network maintenances and upgrades when appropriate.
This position may participate in on call rotation to support network change management.
May perform other duties as assigned.
ITIL experience and applied knowledge in technical change management.
Applied knowledge of LAN, WAN, internet technologies understanding Open Stack technology and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
Multi-Vendor knowledge for packet based networks on Juniper, Nokia and Cisco.
Practical experience on Optical Transport Networks Infinera, Ciena.
Understanding of packet based networks, routing, redundancy and transport protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF and VXLAN) on several network vendor.
Flexibility, able to work cross border and functions.
3+ years of experience in the field of networking and server engineering.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or comparable work experience in a related discipline.
Security background configuring firewalls and IDS / IPS desired.
ITIL certification desired.
