Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Staff CMDB Developer with expertise in ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to design, develop, and maintain robust CMDB solutions. This role will focus on ensuring data integrity, automation, and alignment with ITIL best practices while enabling accurate asset and configuration management across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
CMDB Architecture & Development

  • Design and implement CMDB data models, class structures, and relationships in ServiceNow. Develop and maintain discovery patterns, probes, and integrations to ensure accurate CI population. Create workflows, business rules, and automation scripts to enforce CMDB governance and compliance

Integration & Data Quality

  • Build and manage integrations between ServiceNow CMDB and external systems (e.g., asset management, cloud platforms, monitoring tools). Implement reconciliation rules, identification strategies, and data normalization processes. Monitor and improve CMDB health metrics (completeness, compliance, correctness)

Governance & Standards

  • Collaborate with ITSM, ITOM, and Asset Management teams to align CMDB with organizational processes. Define and enforce CMDB policies, naming conventions, and lifecycle management standards. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and administrators

Performance & Optimization

  • Optimize CMDB performance and scalability for large enterprise environments. Troubleshoot and resolve complex CMDB-related issues and data discrepancies


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  • Experience: 3–5 years of ServiceNow development experience, with at least 2 years focused on CMDB and Discovery. Proven experience in designing and implementing CMDB architecture for mid-to-large scale environments

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API). Expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and IntegrationHub. Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management and Asset Management. Knowledge of APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and data integration techniques

Preferred Skills

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

  • Experience with cloud discovery (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 118,000 - 176,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
