Job Summary

The Product Software team at Equinix builds next-generation software products and architecture for our Equinix software platform and services offerings. We are looking for engineers responsible for developing and scaling robust platform services that enable best-in-class products. Your primary responsibility will be to develop testing frameworks which support extensive automation of tests cases, including data setup, mocking and stubs for functional and end-to-end testing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Solve for the customer -understand the WHY and enrich the specification to create a solution which delights customers

  • Hold the fort on the quality of significant parts of the system

  • Ensure a high degree of operational excellence for platform services

  • Develop test plans, test suites, automate and execute tests for UI, APIs, microservices and data platform

  • Drive the end to end testing of features and certify features for sprints and releases

  • Debug and root cause production engineers, ensuring that problems stay fixed

  • Execute and certify performance and resilience tests in a non-production environment

  • Engages and communicates test results and highlights any potential quality, performance, SLA and security risks to stakeholders

  • Contributes actively in an Agile scrum team to define test scope, automation and improving feature test coverage

  • Collaborates effectively with stakeholders, including Product Owners, Developers and other Quality Engineers

  • Mentor junior engineers

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent with 5+ years hands on professional experience in testing and automation

  • Experience on one test automation tool among Playwright, TestNG, RestAssured

  • Experience on one performance testing tool among JMeter, Gatling, Loadrunner

  • Experience on driving automation fast with AI tools

  • Experience with SDLC including unit tests, code management and build tools (Maven, Gradle, SBT), code management tools (GIT, Github) and deployment tools (Jenkins, Github actions)

  • Knowledge of Unix, SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML, JSON and source control Git desired

  • Performance testing experience using tools like JMeter, Gatling, Loadrunner

  • Experience with both SQL is a must and NoSQL databases is a plus

  • Ability to lead and own frameworks, working across teams on standardization of processes and employ creative methods to solve problems
