Job Summary
As an Oracle Cloud Admin in the Corporate Application Division, you would work on some of our latest ventures to implement, enhance, and maintain cutting-edge SaaS/PaaS business applications. You will be helping us with coordination, documentation, test execution, conducting POC, implementing new technologies, post-production maintenance, and support of the SaaS/PaaS enterprise applications
Responsibilities
Hands-on configurations, testing, troubleshooting, and monitoring of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Provisioning and managing compute instances (VMs), storage services (Object Storage, Block Volume), and network components (VCNs, subnets, security lists) within OCI
Implementing and managing cloud networking configurations, including routing, load balancing, and VPNs
Monitoring cloud resource utilization and optimizing costs
Defining and enforcing access control policies using Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Implementing security best practices like encryption, patching, and vulnerability scanning
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
Creating scripts and workflows to streamline repetitive tasks
Monitoring cloud services for performance issues, including resource utilization, latency, and availability
Diagnosing and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure components.
Learn and adapt to new technologies in a short duration
Work with the team of analysts and leads, implementing new cloud business applications and integrations for Equinix
Assist in Implementing product features/proof of concept code that Equinix could use to expand its business objectives and application landscape
Assist in coordinating the activities of the Oracle Application Admin services
Provides first-line support to IT Development, Product, AMS team, and internal stakeholders
Partner with other system owners to ensure data and system access and security
Execute System integration testing
Coordinate user acceptance testing for new system or enhancement releases This involves assisting with creating test cases and following up to ensure users complete testing according to the schedule
Qualifications
Proficient in Oracle Apex, OIC, Oracle VBCS, ORDS, PCS, GIT, Oracle SQL, JAVA, Shell Scripts, Bash, Python, Webservices/APIs, and Oracle PL/SQL
Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including computing, storage, networking, database, and security features
Knowledge of networking concepts (subnetting, routing, firewalls)
Experience with security best practices in a cloud environment
Understanding of ITIL or other service management frameworks
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities
Good knowledge of SFTP, Security, and encryption technologies.
Worked with well-known applications like Salesforce, Service Now, Workday, Bank Statements, Oracle R12, Bloomberg, and other enterprise applications
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or related field
6-8 years of experience working within the IT organization of a large multinational company
Strong written and oral communication skills
Preference to computer science, mathematics, and related fields of study.
Willingness to travel occasionally if needed
