Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Facilities & Infrastructure Specialist with strong technical expertise and sound judgment. This role involves performing complex maintenance and operations on critical infrastructure, with a deep understanding of standard procedures and best practices. The ideal candidate will provide expert support to the team while ensuring high reliability of mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
Facility & Infrastructure Maintenance
Perform specialized preventive and corrective maintenance on critical facility systems and components
Execute moderately complex repairs, installations, inspections, and troubleshooting of essential infrastructure
Monitor the Building Management System (BMS), promptly resolve alarms, and address specialized issues that require significant judgment
Operate and maintain plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems
Identify and implement energy efficiency improvement measures
Work independently on assignments that demand considerable initiative and technical judgment while making valuable recommendations for solutions
Vendor Management & Support
Coordinate and supervise vendors to ensure all maintenance activities meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
Oversee the work approval process, including pre-work briefings, real-time monitoring, and post-work validation
Collaborate with vendors to update and maintain accurate technical documentation, drawings, and equipment files
Site Administration & Incident Response
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Datacenter Mechanical Systems, with in-depth knowledge of HVAC, Immersion & Liquid Cooling, HSD Operations, and Hydraulics
Prepare specialized site logs, data, and documentation for issuing Maintenance Operation Protocols (MOPs) and work scripts
Proactively identify Single Points of Failure (SPOFs) and recommend effective mitigation strategies
Respond swiftly to incidents, outages, and emergencies; conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions
Support and guide on-site teams during critical incidents while ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures
Work Orders & Projects
Efficiently complete skilled work requests, circuit installations, and advanced troubleshooting
Execute complex infrastructure projects and support life-cycle maintenance and end-of-life equipment replacements
Recommend and contribute to infrastructure improvement initiatives
Collaboration & Team Support
Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve challenging facility issues
Mentor and guide junior team members on technical maintenance activities
Manage critical spares inventory by identifying requirements and coordinating replenishment
Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on experience in Data Centers or Heavy Engineering / Industrial sectors
BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or equivalent High School Diploma with strong relevant experience
Certifications in Engineering, Data Center Operations, or related fields will be highly preferred
