Job Summary

Equinix is seeking a strategic, results-oriented Senior Manager to join the

xScale Finance Transformation Office. This role will be pivotal in driving finance transformation initiatives and managing complex projects across the global

xScale Finance organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize finance processes, systems, and reporting capabilities. Additionally, the role will oversee project management activities related to Joint Venture (JV) operations, ensuring seamless execution and stakeholder alignment. 

Responsibilities 

  Finance Transformation / Process Operating Model Design 

  •  

    Lead the management of the finance transformation roadmap, aligning with organizational goals and priorities 

  • Lead activities associated with the interpretation of legal commercial agreements to define finance requirements and translate into operational processes, the output being detailed functional design documents  

  • Conduct thorough assessments of existing finance processes, systems, and controls to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization

  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions that enhance financial operations, reporting, and compliance

  • Develop detailed business requirements and process design documentation in close collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Regular reporting of overall transformation progress and achievements 

Project Management 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of specific finance transformation and JV-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics

  • Prepare and manage project plans ensuring risks, issues, and dependencies are identified timely and proactively drive resolution and mitigation strategies

  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional project meetings, serving as the primary liaison

  • Prepare and deliver regular project status updates, executive presentations, and comprehensive documentation for stakeholders  

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication  

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with global stakeholders, fostering a culture of transparency and proactive communication

  • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment on project objectives, timelines, and outcomes

  • Engage with key stakeholders to communicate project goals, progress, and results, driving engagement and support throughout the transformation journey

 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in finance transformation, process design, and ERP systems implementation

  • Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, or equivalent)

  • Extensive operational knowledge of core finance functions

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM implementation (highly desirable)

  • Strong familiarity with SOX compliance, change control processes, and US GAAP

  • Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) 

  • In-depth understanding of legal entity structures and operational readiness for finance systems 

  • Proven track record managing cross-functional projects in global, high-growth environments

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet, Visio) and JIRA

  • Exceptional project management, communication, and organizational skills 

  • Willingness to travel as required

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 136,000 - 204,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
