Equinix Experience Design Team is seeking a mixed‑methods User Experience Researcher. This role will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing user research across multiple functional groups, providing actionable insights into customer behaviors and experiences.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies—including survey design, data analysis, journey mapping, personas, and usability testing—with experience driving business growth.

We are a small but growing research team, actively advancing research maturity within the organization and building a culture where insights are integral to decision‑making. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and a dedicated squad of UX designers and service designers to translate insights into innovative, user‑centered solutions.

Job Summary

As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a critical role in understanding user needs and behaviors, translating these insights into actionable recommendations, and championing user‑centric design principles. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to influence product strategy and ensure products meet and exceed user expectations.

You will leverage both quantitative and qualitative research methods—including surveys and data analytics tools—to gather and analyze data on user behavior, preferences, and usage patterns. You will synthesize findings to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improving the user experience. You’ll apply strategic thinking, design thinking, and rigorous research methods to address complex user problems while balancing user needs with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end user research initiatives across functional domains to guide product strategy and design decisions.

  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys, card sorting, personas, benchmarking studies) to uncover user behaviors, needs, pain points, and opportunities.

  • Synthesize research data into compelling, actionable insights—through storytelling, personas, journey maps, workshops, presentations, or reports—that drive user‑centric decision‑making.

  • Conduct data analysis using both qualitative and quantitative methods.

  • Translate research insights into clear, actionable recommendations that inform product strategy, design decisions, and business priorities.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to define research requirements, scope, effort, and timelines, and foster alignment in exploring, ideating, validating, and socializing solutions.

  • Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research planning, execution, and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Mixed‑methods research experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Human‑Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics). Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education

  • Strong proficiency with qualitative and quantitative research methods

  • Experience with statistical analysis and data analysis tools

  • Familiarity with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude)

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear insights.

  • Demonstrated experience working on complex, highly technical B2B products

  • Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving capabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple research initiatives and work with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead research initiatives that contribute to product or business impact.

  • Experience working with global, cross‑functional, or distributed teams (preferred but not required)

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 118,000 - 176,000 USD / Annual

United States - Other posted locations not specifically listed : 118,000 - 176,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
