Summary

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, this strategic and transformational leader will be responsible for the vision, thought leadership, and execution of our Platform Alliance strategy. This leader will align potential technical and go-to-market partnerships that will grow solution reach, accelerate new business and drive revenue growth and protection in key markets and across all selling motions: sell-to, sell-with and sell-through. This leader will be responsible for planning and managing multi-year growth campaigns - orchestrating our go-to-market motions with Platform Alliance partners as well as helping accelerate our technology integration efforts. In developing these new and expanded revenue streams, they’ll oversee cross-functional engagements with Product, Business Development, Field and Technical Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Operations, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise Alliance strategy to grow solution sales: Deliver joint revenue and go-to-market opportunities (e.g., including joint solution development, joint go-to-market programs, joint awareness initiatives) to achieve revenue growth, ensuring selling across the full portfolio - from product to platform-based solutions and including hyperscale
  • Accelerate platform integration efforts: Nurture relationships with top technology and platform partners to enhance our strategic value, maximize joint opportunity, fuel platform integration efforts and enhance profitable long-term growth
  • Enhance current selling motions: Accelerate “sell-to”, “sell with” and “sell-through” opportunities, aligning product roadmaps, enhancing platform integration between Equinix and strategic partners to elevate service delivery
  • Manage targets: Ensure consistently accurate forecasted business, deliver the global quarterly and annual revenue objectives
  • Ensure execution excellence: Build the bridge from long-term Alliance strategy to execution, ensuring that the entire organization has the direction, information, resources and support to successfully execute in the field
  • Streamline accountability: Serve as a single point of accountability for engagement with Platform Alliances to improve the alliance experience
  • Define and track objective key results: Define and track objective key results for financial performance, execution excellence, customer and partner satisfaction for Alliances, holding team accountable for performance
  • Shape a collaborative, transparent, and entrepreneurial culture, one that embraces coaching, is inclusive, and has a strong focus on the belonging, growth and development of all its team members
  • Forge trusting partnerships across global, cross-functional teams: engage and align team of critical players and key stakeholders in a way that inspires achievement of shared outcomes, ensures optimal sales, support and service delivery to key global partners and effectively balances both global and local needs
  • Build and motivate diverse teams, uniting organization and stakeholders around shared vision and case for change in go-to-market transformation efforts

Knowledge and Experience:

  • 15+ years’ experience driving platform integration and developing joint technical solutions, service offerings and go-to-market motions through global alliance partners
  • 7+ years demonstrated track record in leading regional/global sales organizations
  • Experience managing P&L (in excess of $1B), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
  • Experience selling to breadth of industries including network and mobile providers, Cloud and IT services, content providers, and financial services companies
  • Experience with recurring revenue, complex and large negotiations, solution selling, and enabling platforms for B2B
  • Experience establishing and scaling direct enterprise sales and partner models as well as platform integration
