Responsibilities

• PFE Operation and Maintenance

• Single point of contact for PFE O&M and equipment in the CLS

• Available and contactable 24 hours a day when cable fault occurs and during repair operations

• Perform PFE and repair instructions provided by marine authority and/or NOC in the event of system failure or planned outage

• Card swap, keep inventory, monitor equipment repair and return process

• Attending Training provided for the equipment supplier

• Escort and supervise authorized visitors

• Conduct tests when turning up circuits when requested by NOC

• Provide support for subsea equipment installation and upgrade work

• Conduct investigation to localize a fault in cooperation with the NOC

• Patch or normalize optical fibres when requested by NOC

• Perform maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturers’ and system designers’ specifications and any manuals developed with or provided by the NOC

Qualifications

Typically requires a high school diploma and 6+ years of equivalent work experience.
