Sr. Product Manager Analytics

Job Summary
In this role you will own technology roadmap and the delivery of Supply Chain Analytics products serving various business functions like Source to Pay, and Design and Construction. You will bring your data skills, product skills, and the domain knowledge to create scalable data products for a longer horizon. You will partner with key decision makers within business groups, subject matter experts, end users to drive business goals and business needs towards delightful data products for faster decision making.

Responsibilities

Product Management

• Drive roadmap of analytics products such as Purpose drive dashboards, Self service data sets, APIs, and data science based insights in alignment with business goals, and technology capabilities

• Lead product delivery through agile methodologies

• Manage and execute data analytic vision to promote business teams adopt data and use data for decision making

• Drive continuous improvements of product features, and keep refining them to delight customers with value, and ease of use

• Drive requirements, use cases, and prioritize the work. Manage the backlog and communicate to stakeholders with clarity, and transparency. Drive sprint scope, sprint planning, and sprint workload

• Leverage data insights to drive product features

• Frequent Communication with stakeholders, and individual users with new technology capabilities, best practices, and Product usage

• Constantly seek NPS and feature related feedback from customers

• Develop metrics in collaboration with the business to measure the value delivered by data products

Business Requirements Analysis

• Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements, within and across functional areas

• Develop deep empathy with users to understand their circumstances. Translate that understanding into building intuitive data products

• Demonstrate an ability to analyze complex requirements from cross functional stakeholders, and come up with simple actionable user stories

• Drives best practices during requirements gathering and modeling

• Has a strong focus on gathering core requirements, beyond stated requirements and correctly places these within a broader context

• Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders

• Analyze complex requirements and come up with simple actionable user stories

• Drive Data Science initiatives through hypothesis formation, driving requirements, and providing a functional consultation to data science team

• Build dashboard prototype to help business visualize end products

Exploratory Analytics

• Dive into data using analytics and advanced statistical methods to identify correlations, clusters, and macro level trends to engage with the business with the context

Process Modeling and Design

• Leverage data and analytics to provide improvement opportunities in the processes

• Support process designs by business stakeholders through Deep knowledge on cross functional data and data quality

Stakeholder Management

• Manages stakeholder expectations and communications within and beyond functional track

• Knows business environment well enough to identify and proactively include the correct stakeholders

• Interacts regularly with senior management level stakeholders, and demonstrates value from realized projects

Solution Design

• Responsible to design and document cross-functional and global solutions, drawing on functional expertise of functional and technical team members or vendors, as appropriate

• Advises on solutions prepared by peers or supporting team, and champions good design practices

• Involve is testing the analytic products for functionality, User Interface, and data quality

• Provide technical support to business teams on Power BI/Tableau for self-serve analytics and define best practices and develop user guides

Documentation

• Documents and reviews broader team documentation

• Supports team in identifying and defining relevant documentation templates pertaining to solution delivery

• Is a champion for knowledge transfer to enable/empower other team members

Functional Design

• Maintain a strong personal base of knowledge of data platform technology, industry practices, trends, and issues

• Champions sustainable, forward-looking functional designs

• Collaborate closely with the analysts and scientists across the organization

• Able to provide statistical techniques, quantitative data analysis and predictive analysis and scenario based analysis

• Ensure data security and compliance measures are in place for every product delivered

• Debug and identify root cause for critical issue and provide solution recommendations

Architecture

• N/A

Testing & Test Design

• Coordinates integration testing, validates test cases with stakeholders for user acceptance testing and training, and obtains sign-offs

• Coordinates defects clarification, triage and coordinate resolution with engineering teams

Project Management

• Manages multiple application releases and projects

• Follow agile methodologies and deliver continuous enhancements on products

• Supports senior management by creating architecture, project management and roadmap documentation

• Optimize release management to strike good balance between business goals and delivery capacity

• Identifies and manages risks in release delivery and communicate with stakeholder with clarity and mitigation plan

Day to Day Support (Production Support)

• Supports and trains junior resources and oversees quality in triage and troubleshooting practices

• Leads troubleshooting efforts on critical issues with cross functional teams through resolution

• Identifies improvements to address repeat issues

Training and Change Management

• Works with functional leadership teams to set expectations and conduct planning and execution of SME training activities

• Defines, communicates, and implements support and engagement plans

• Analyzes adoption rates and issues and assesses business case realization and proposes solutions to improve

Vendor Management

• Manages/leads individual consulting resources as assigned

• Participates in vendor advisory boards and user groups

Vendor & Application Technology Evaluation

• Executes medium-scale vendor evaluations, pricing negotiations and software acquisitions

• Prepares management communications and gets stakeholder input for recommendations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Information Systems, Business or related field, Masters in Business Management or Masters Degree in Information Systems or Computer Engineering including mathematics and Statistics preferred

• 7+ years’ experience in a Data Analysis or similar role supporting cross-functional business units globally

• Experience is building Source to Pay centric products analytic products and executive metrics is a MUST

• Strong on statistical and data analysis techniques like Regressions, classification, Anomaly detection, Hypothesis testing and experience to apply them during data analysis is a MUST

• Strong analytical skills in analyzing complex problems, processes, and systems to propose solutions

• Ability to document and prototype business use cases and data flows

• 3+ years of solid hands-on experience in developing visualizations in Power BI

• Able to understand the complex data model and connect to various data sources like SFDC, Exasol, Google Big Query and AWS

• Must have experience in PostgreSQL or Oracle

• Must have experience on Oracle eBusiness Suite, Coupa, or any Source 2 Pay existing ERP

• Experience using JIRA for project management
