The Product Security team mission is to ensure that our products are developed, deployed, and consumed securely by our customers. We are looking for software engineer interested in focusing on our networking products’ security.
Job Profile Summary: We are a team of highly skilled Product Security engineers that specialize in security research, penetration testing, and creative tool development focusing on data security, systems hardening, DevSecOps, threat and vulnerability management and security intelligence across network, infrastructure, tools, platforms and product layers. We evaluate a broad range of technologies including distributed processing, virtualized environments and isolation of unsecure code. As a Security Architect – Networking Products, you will own the security of how networks are configured. This includes working with cross functional teams to ensure the security of traffic traversing through the networks, data security, as well as comprehensive threat modeling to identify and mitigate all potential risks.
Architect, design and implement operational environment for maintaining a secure ecosystem built in alignment with a zero-trust architecture
Threat modeling for Equinix networking products, to identify and mitigate risks associated with the NFVi platform, authentication mechanisms, RBAC, data security & privacy, and runtime vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with development, DevOps, SRE, and Architecture teams to develop mitigation strategies for all known risks.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to maintain and improve incident monitoring and incident response plans that allow for efficient SOC operations.
Stay abreast with solutions in the market, recommend improvements and solutions.
Assists with the documentation and maintenance of designs for security systems
Reviewing current security measures deployed in the operational environment and recommending and architecting enhancements
Assist in security drills and investigation of all security incidents
Working with InfoSec team to promptly respond to all security incidents and providing thorough post-event analyses
Work closely with CTO Office, global network, product development, product engineering and InfoSec teams on various architectural and design aspects of product security
Maintain strong knowledge of ongoing security threats, remediation and operational standard methodologies
Nurture a culture whereby security considerations are integral to product decisions and implementations
BS in computer science or equivalent with 10+ years of hands-on professional experience
Hands-on experience in implementing on-premises and cloud networks for critical infrastructure including multi-layer network architecture.
Experience with implementing PNF, VNF, and CNF.
Detailed knowledge and experience with network function virtualization architecture and components – including industry leading NFVi platforms (e.g., CISCO, Ciena), VIM (e.g. OpenStack, VMWARE, OpenVIM), and other NFV management components.
Experience with implementing network segmentation: DMZ, jump servers, firewall and WAF.
Experience and knowledge in designing container networks for microservice architecture.
In-depth understanding of at least one of the cloud networking solutions/ services
Strong knowledge of Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing, firewalls, WAF and SSL VPN’s (encryption, tunnelling)
Experience in implementing redundant networking architectures to eliminate SPOF (Single point of Failures)
Familiarity with grid interconnection SCADA telemetry requirements across various markets.
Deep understanding of AWS based networking solutions (Route53, VPC, Subnetting, DNS and DHCP)
Experience in deploying network security to guard various threats including malware.
Experience in network device security management and patching.
Deep understanding of WAN technologies, frame relays, encapsulations
Hands-on experience in configuring WAF’s Firewall and Switches for enterprises.
Networking related certifications (CCNA, CCNP, etc.,) are a plus.
Any security certification will be taken as a plus

For CO residents: In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $116K – $163 per year with 25% bonus target.
For NYC residents: In accordance with NYC Pay Transparency Law (https://legistar.council.nyc.gov/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=3713951&GUID=E7B03ABA-8F42-4341-A0D2-50E2F95320CD&Options=Advanced&Search= ) the salary range for this role is $128K – $231K per year with 25% bonus target.
