This role can be remote or in one of our offices.
You will be a part of and work in a Globally Distributed Development team environment with minimal supervision
You have direct experience with Hands-on Architecture, Design, Development & Support of Software Products and Solutions
You will interact with partner(s) to understand and document the product feature(s)
You are responsible for providing level of effort (LOE) for product backlog. Working with technical project managers and product management teams to define schedule
Integrate software product(s) with other systems, test interfaces, and lead version control
You will assist in analysis & evaluation of new technologies to meet demand for product roadmap and technology platform goals
Help in evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies for product features and platform
Advocate and follow the best design and development practices adhering to Engineering standards.
Participate in design & peer code review process
Provides status reports and help with release management planning
Participate in an on call rotation
What you bring to the role:
Approximately 5+ years of professional experience developing and deploying production level services.
Approximately 5+ years developing systems and software with clean APIs using gRPC or HTTP protocols.
Very comfortable and experienced in 2 of the following languages: Go, Ruby, Java.
Proven track record to think strategically and execute with a sense of urgency.
Excellent communication skills internally and externally.
This team consists of strong team players, so you will be expected to participate in constructive reviews or pairing when the task requires.
Bonus points for:
Familiarity with Kill Bill Open Source Billing Platform.
Skilled at manipulating big data using SQL or similar languages.
Experience with breaking apart a monolith into microservices, including switching languages and/or frameworks.
Familiarity with DevOps tooling such as Terraform and Kubernetes.
Experience with networking and the Internet and network technologies (BIOS, network booting, DHCP, layer 2/3, DNS).
Understanding of data center, server and network infrastructure.

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $101,000 – $142,000 per year with 15% bonus target.
