Site Manager

This is an exciting time to join Equinix! We are rapidly growing in the across the UK and need a commercial focused Site Manager to join our team. As a Site Manager at Equinix, you will be responsible for developing an established team, as well as leading and assisting in the development of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Your duties will include day to day organisation and maintenance across a significant joint venture data centre in our Slough campus where you will also take responsibility for budget management and have direct customer engagement.

What you will be doing?

• People management of a team of shift engineers
• Provides the team with technical support and advice on complex critical issues. Acts as SME and leads team members' training
• Reviews specialist contractual reports and activities and internal reporting. Vendor reports, internal SEP reports, KPI’s
• Leads the sites in the maintenance and up keeping of all Datacentre infrastructure according to Equinix global standards. Makes recommendations based on knowledge and experience. Advises IBX upon implementation of engineering global standards
• Leads that all repairs performed on all Data centre infrastructure are according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and standard methodologies
• Liaises with other departments within UK organisation
• Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident. Assists with root cause analysis, incident resolution and makes recommendations for eliminating potential problems
• Holds reviews with customers and forms part of escalation
• Manages operational budgets

What we are looking for?

• Previous experience of complete management of a team, i.e. giving appraisals, day to day organisation & setting objectives.
• Electrical or Mechanical ONC/HNC/C&G 3/ NVQ 3 qualifications is essential
• Previous HVAP experience is desirable
• Mission Critical Engineering experience is needed preferably with an electrical bias
• Experience of taking care of high profile customer
• Experience planning and managing annual budgets
