Data Center Experience (DCX)
This role will be on the centralized DCX design & research team. DCX covers the user experience of teams that work inside our 220+ Data Centers. That includes Technicians, Engineers, Security Officers, and Visitors. DCX also covers the experiences of Incident Responders, Capacity Planners & DC Design and Construction teams. These users on custom applications on touch devices. It is an exciting opportunity to design and research for unique experiences such as 2D/3D maps, and responsive mobile experiences. We have direct access to our users.
Job Summary
As a Senior UX Researcher, you will have the opportunity to employ the wide range of research methodologies including explorative and formative, moderated and unmoderated, qualitative and quantitative.
The successful candidate will need to think strategically and draw prioritized and valid insights from study data distilling it into coherent point-of-view and actionable recommendations.
You will need to demonstrate your talent for effective storytelling, delivered in a way that is valid, unbiased, easy to understand and results with energizing the team and inspiring action.
Critical skills for this role also include ability to set up, run and fine tune processes of quick, iterative user research study cadence bringing actionable and fast user insight to the team.
Most importantly, you will need to be a passionate advocate for users and able to demonstrate how User Research leads to measurable business value through diligent impact tracking and documentation.
Responsibilities:
User Research and Usability
Solid knowledge of the landscape of user research methodologies -hands on experience with focus groups, interviews, usability studies, UX Scorecards, surveys, card sorts etc.
Experience with planning, executing and analyzing qual, quant and mixed method studies
Proven track record of driving impact through delivering actionable insights and follow through to their implementation
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies is a must. Strong written and oral communication skills are required
Qualifications:
At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with mixed research methods
Confidence in winning and influencing stakeholders in making experience-centric decisions
Interested in understanding people who work in and around Data Centers around the world
Master’s degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Cognitive Psychology, HCI, Industrial Engineering, Perceptual Psychology, or a related field
