Job Summary

As a Senior Network Services Engineer functioning in a System Administration (SA) role, candidate is responsible for operating and maintaining a complex server environment and associated tools in support of organizational stakeholders. Manages physical and virtual servers supporting a wide array of applications. Performs as a technical interface for information security functions in the environment. Provides technical assistance to system users regarding tools and applications. Serves as a technical expert/SME on SA processes and tools. Performs continuous improvement on SA processes and tools.Position requires an active US Government Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain physical server hardware

• Operate and maintain virtual environment architecture (Hyper-V, Active Directory, etc)

• Operate and maintain Linux server environment

• Support technical requirements for Infosec tools (Tenable, Crowdstrike, etc)

• Function as SME for tools and applications hosted in the environment

• Manage environment maintenance and backup functions

• Provide technical assistance to system users when required

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• *** Position requires an active US Government Top Secret clearance ***

• Advanced knowledge of system administration fundamentals

• Functional knowledge of network concepts

• Extensive experience with system administration in a multi-server environment

• Extensive experience with Active Directory and Hyper-V

• Familiarity with PowerShell

• Experience with monitoring systems and functionality

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred

• Certification preferred, especially in system administration

• 10 years experience in IT positions preferred

• 6 years experience in system administration positions preferred
