To support this effort, we’re looking for a driven and experienced content strategist and manager to join our marketing team.
As Senior Specialist, Content Strategy and Management, you will work daily with direction from our Senior Manager, Brand Experience as well as our digital marketing, developer relations, customer success and product marketing teams and your responsibilities will span our buyers’ digital journeys. We are a lean, agile marketing team, and the right candidate thrives on the opportunities and challenges this presents.

You have a passion for brand building, captivating audiences and leveraging insights and data to inform strategy. Plus you have a knack for activating consistent, compelling content across web properties and digital channels to increase customer engagement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and resourceful content strategist. Equinix is an established brand in the infrastructure category with 10,000 satisfied global customers. It launched Equinix Metal in 2020 after acquiring Packet, which was well regarded in the developer community. Your goal will be to build on these foundations to accelerate the consumption of Equinix’s platform through a “bottoms-up” approach focused on developer adoption. We are poised for significant growth and need a strong content leader to help propel our evolution.
Our ideal candidate can lead content projects at scale for high-profile webpages and digital channels, delivering on time and in scope. They will have a ability to source, edit, and optimize content that engages both business and technical personas, drive an editorial calendar, and collaborate across multiple internal teams. You will also have a deep understanding of digital journey and storytelling for the web, with a knack for activating consistent, compelling content across web properties and digital channels to increase customer engagement.
Help bring our brand to life through compelling content and audience-centric organizing principles
Partner closely with editorial and creative teams to help guide content creation and inform the editorial calendar
Drive production and reviews of targeted content, including copy for webpages, email, solution briefs, blogs, and more, for both technical and business personas
Collaborate with marketing, research, design, and product teams to understand requirements, identify users’ content needs, and align on business goals
Advocate for discovery and planning, ensuring the proper content tasks are prioritized and executed on cross-functional teams
Collaborate with other teams within the company to ensure unified content experiences, including messaging strategy and voice and tone, across the customer journey
Test and refine content based on analytics, user feedback, and other performance data; present findings to leadership
When appropriate, create resources to empower colleagues to create their own great content, including certain self-service deliverables, to scale the discipline
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in content strategy development and execution, in either an agency or in-house creative/marketing team
A customer-first mindset and a knack for storytelling
Solid understanding of creative workflows, and experience producing various types of media (brand, content, web, video etc.)
Clear and effective communication and presentation skills
Critical thinking, leveraging analytics, reporting, and analysis to inform decisions
Incredible organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail
The ability to look beyond what's working now, and push for continual creativity and innovation
A self-starter mindset who thrives in ambiguous and rapidly changing situations, ready to take on the challenges of a rapidly expanding organization
