Job description – Senior Staff Engineer - MDM 

We are seeking a Senior MDM Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Reltio MDM to design and build enterprise-grade master data solutions. This role will be pivotal in rolling out our next-generation Reltio MDM platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and seamless integration across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in MDM architecture, data modeling, API development, and integration engineering, and will collaborate closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and develop minor enhancements on our legacy MDM tool Informatica MDM during the transition period, including customizations, workflows, and integration components. 

  • Engineer and implement Reltio MDM features such as survivorship rules, match/merge logic, workflow orchestration, and governance models. 

  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and integration services for MDM platforms. 

  • Build data pipelines and integration patterns for downstream systems (ERP, CRM, portals) and analytical platforms (GCP BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow). 

  • Implement data quality frameworks leveraging Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) and Reltio capabilities. 

  • Collaborate with architects to design data models, entity relationships, and domain APIs

  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Java, Python, or Go for data processing and integration tasks. 

  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipeline development

  • Optimize performance and scalability of MDM solutions through engineering best practices. 

  • Work closely with product, QA, and release teams to ensure high-quality deliverables. 

  • Contribute to MDM modernization initiatives, including migration strategies and new feature development. 

  • Build, manage, and monitor integrations using Reltio Integration Hub (RIH) and REST APIs. 

  • Develop and configure workflows, stewardship processes, and data validation rules

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data governance teams, and technical teams to ensure solution alignment. 

  • Support testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production deployments

  • Ensure best practices for data governance, security, and scalability are followed. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or Data Analytics

  • 8–12 years of experience in MDM engineering or software development. 

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica MDM (customization and development). 

  • 3+ years of experience with Reltio MDM (implementation and integration). 

  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python (or similar). 

  • Expertise in MDM concepts: match/merge, survivorship, data quality, stewardship

  • Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and event-driven architectures

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Exposure to enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data modeling best practices

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially GCP

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
