Lead a team of CMDB analysts and maintain accuracy of CMDB data by creating KPIs via dashboards and reports to measure data quality and accuracy
Provide training on the platform and CMDB to other teams, such as IT Operation, InfoSec, etc.
Ensure work is completed in priority and within agreed upon timeline
Monitor IT KPIs dashboards and metrics leveraging ServiceNow, understand the definition of metrics, and maintain a KPI dashboard:specific focus areas are computers/workstations, servers, network gear, mobile devices and their attributes and relationships
Respond to requests to develop ad-hoc or standard reporting and monitor key processes for variance from identified standards
Work closely with the ServiceNow platform, ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB and ITAM teams to ensure accuracy of the Configuration Items (CIs) data ensuring the integrations are working as designed
Analyze, modify and/or create new CI data in the CMDB and verify data sources are providing updates to the CMDB according to design/function
Maintain integrity of all integrations to management tools, InfoSec tools and vendor integrations to obtain data and warranty / contract information
Data transform maps and mass updates for uploading data changes: warranty information, application services support, support level group, managed by groups and other details for CMDB and Asset modules
Knowledge of MS Office suite of products, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word are essential for this position
Possess solid knowledge of the ServiceNow platform with proven data analytics experience and troubleshooting capabilities
Responsible for identifying which configuration item (CI) types, classes, attributes, and CI relationships are tracked in the CMDB
Working knowledge of the CMDB: Configuration Item (CI), various tables, CI attributes, business capabilities, business applications and their relationships to application services (Application Portfolio Management – APM)
Working knowledge of HAM Pro and SAM Pro is required for this role
Ability to update data sets (data transformation) and maintain integrity of the CMDB
Working knowledge of computers (workstations), servers, network gear, mobile devices, and other IT infrastructure/accessories
Proactively communicate and establish working sessions with other departments, individuals and 3rd party partners on planning and implementation activities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager
Skill Set Required
Ability to manage tasks, provide consultive recommendations and recommend strategy guidance to the team and projects
Data analytics and ability to merge data sets and CI relationships
Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) and vendor shipments of assets
Asset management / life cycle experience and updates to both asset module and CMDB
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related major preferred (8 years of equivalent work experience required)
7+ year experience with ServiceNow platform/CMDB
10+ year overall experience in an IT Service Management (ITSM) organization or other technical support role
Certified ServiceNow System Administrator desired but not required
Certified Implementation Specialists desired
Consulting experience will be essential
Experience in ITSM processes and configuration management highly desired
Prior experience in agile methodologies strongly desired
Experience with data analysis and reporting preferred
For CO residents: In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for this role is $101k – $183k per year with 20% bonus target.
For NYC residents: In accordance with NYC Pay Transparency Law (https://legistar.council.nyc.gov/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=3713951&GUID=E7B03ABA-8F42-4341-A0D2-50E2F95320CD&Options=Advanced&Search= ) the salary range for this role is $112k – $202k per year with 20% bonus target.
