Job Summary: The Global Events Project Senior Specialist acts as a key member of the Equinix Global Events team. They are responsible for helping plan global events and programs that make an impact on the Equinix community. The project senior specialist will support all phases of event planning and execution to ensure success factors are met, including but not limited to project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and integration. The role requires strong project management skills to ensure the smooth and successful execution of all events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver end-to-end event project workflows acting as the glue, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

  • Act as point of contact for project team questions, concerns and escalations.

  • Leverage standardized event tools and templates to execute events and act as a 'go to' person for feedback on event project/program management standards.

  • Serve as the point of contact for other members of the Global Events Team, internal stakeholders, and external agencies/partners to coordinate schedules, budgets, and delivery of assets based on project needs.

  • Manage, communicate and drive project timelines, ensuring smooth workflow within the context of each event’s overall timeline of deliverables.

  • Utilize project management tools, production methodologies, and strong communication skills to maintain tight schedules and high standards of quality.

  • Regularly report back to stakeholders about updates on progress, relevant delays or issues, and budget implications.

  • Collaborate with manager to prioritize and align on daily, weekly and monthly priorities in the context of the overall event timelines.

  • Identify potential opportunities, issues or gaps and collaborate with team for quick and effective resolutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years’ experience working in the area of project management.

  • Strong planning and project management skills with the ability to work well under pressure.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented with proven ability to deliver exceptional results.

  • Motivated, results-driven, multi-tasking go-getter up to the challenge of a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.

  • Strong collaboration skills a must: will be required to coordinate closely with multiple teams that are geographically dispersed.

  • Ability to travel to execute events.

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).

In accordance with Colorado State Law (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) the salary range for Colorado for this role is $59,000 – $82,000 per year with 15% bonus target.
