Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help drive our Equinix Infrastructure Services (EIS) solutions to the next level, enabling our customers to easily search and order their data center physical infrastructure speeding their time to value of Platform Equinix. This person will be expected to be a subject-matter expert with a deep understanding of the Equinix Infrastructure Services portfolio. You will both tactically manage the backlog based on a deep understanding of customer needs and return-on-investment and strategically develop the roadmap based on critically assessing new opportunities from customer feedback and customer journey.
The role will involve:
Getting up to speed on Equinix Infrastructure Services.
Enhancing high-level vision and strategy.
Working with key stakeholders on executing the vision and strategy.
This position will work closely with the Core Product line managers, sales engineering, operations, product marketing, and other functions as the owner of the service.
Collaborating closely with Sales engineering and cross functional teams, develops and refine the EIS product strategy and the creation and ongoing support of the product vision and road map
Drive new and improving existing products within the Equinix Infrastructure Services offerings through the product development life-cycle. Develops project plans, executes product life-cycle tasks, captures product requirements, and collaborates with business and technology teams.
Employ lean startup principles to ideate, experiment, measure, learn and pivot
Collaborate closely with manufacturers and suppliers to fulfill customer and Equinix needs and influence product innovation, release, and capabilities.
Creates and collaborates on the financial business models, conducts compelling business opportunity reviews with the leadership team
Responsible for the prioritization of the product backlog and work regularly with operations/engineering teams to improve delivery efﬁciency and road map goals
Researches competitors and verticals; prepare reports of deep competitive analysis
Defines metrics that will be used to inform product success and help drive user experience improvements
Supports cross-functional test cases and helps coordinate/execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
7+ years of experience as a product manager OR experience with physical infrastructure, data center products in a customer-facing role (sales engineer, engagement manager, etc.)
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience working with or on Data Center operations teams or infrastructure vendors is strongly preferred
Experience in end-to-end product management experience (ideation, to discovery, execution, and post-launch) for service or data center infrastructure products is highly preferred
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
