Job Summary

The Enterprise Data & Analytics team (EDNA) delivers products that enable insights & decisions across Equinix. These products span the full spectrum of our data ecosystem, including core elements of our enterprise data platform, reusable data models and semantic layers, decision-ready dashboards, and emerging AI-driven capabilities. As we scale, we are transforming these internal assets into unified, resilient, and intelligent products that elevate internal productivity and decision quality. We aspire to commercialize differentiated data and analytics offerings for our customers, making data essential to their digital transformation journey with Equinix. 

We are looking for an adaptable & motivated Senior Principal product leader to lead Capacity data insights & optimization programs. This individual will work closely with senior leadership across complex stakeholder groups to analyse & identify capacity optimization opportunities via data driven analysis. Success here involves defining the solution, aligning decision makers, prototyping of MVP & working with engineering to deliver the hardened 24/7 solution. Capacity is the core of what we build, manage & sell to our customers, so impact here will be directly measurable to the company's financial goals.  

Responsibilities

  • Deliver insightful, novel recommendations to unlock stranded capacity

  • Build valued relationships with senior business stakeholders & company executives underpinned by consistent capability delivery & value creation

  • Broad spectrum, cross functional leadership and managing via influence. Diverse thinker able to connect complex problems across different domains (e.g. partner with GTM on elements like customers and pricing)

  • Define & publish a strategy and own the business cadence for reviewing capacity opportunity roadmap with stakeholders

  • Business ownership of all (existing & identified) data pipelines that serve capacity analytics

Qualifications

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field or commensurate experience

  • Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in Product Management or Data Science, preferably within the data/analytics domain, either internal facing or both internal and customer facing products (e.g., commercialized and generating revenue)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven track record of building strong relationships with business stakeholders 

  • Experience operating in a highly cross functional, multinational business ideally in the Data Center, Cloud, Telecommunications and/or IT industries

  • Dynamic, forward-thinking leader with a bias for action, rapid experimentation, and ability to break down complex problems and deliver novel solutions to address them

Skills:  

  • Analytical problem solver with the ability to work under pressure and multitask while leading cross-functional teams 

  • Excellent communicator, able to simplify complexity and tailor messaging based on audience

  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with key stakeholders as a trusted advisor

  • Ability to demonstrate ownership and proactively drive initiatives​ while meeting business deadlines

  • Ability to balance collaboration and driving alignment, while being decisive

This posting is a new position within our organization.

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 177,000 - 265,000 USD / Annual

Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 182,000 - 272,000 CAD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
